Supernatural Powers
01.01.2003, 10a.m, Guntur Ashram

On 1st of January, I was leaving to see Nanna. What can I offer Nanna, who shares immense, selfless love with everyone who visits him? ‘Patram, pushpam, phalam, toyam…..As the saying goes, I thought of offering flowers, fruits and respect.

Normally, on January 1st every year, Nanna discusses at length about the unfathomable depths of Radha philosophy and Radha sakhis. Today being January 1st, since I was already late, I reached Nanna’s holy presence wondering what words of philosophical wisdom Nanna would narrate.

On seeing me Nanna began to tell thus:

" This morning, surprisingly I attained complete ‘Stri bhav’ (the feminine bhav). It is only bhav. I realized that whenever we think of sakhis, it should be with this bhav only. I am sharing with you what Mother has given me "

Nanna, since long, there exists the form of a little girl within you. How then suddenly this new concept…….” I was asking

Interrupting my question, Nanna continued:

" The girl still exists. I am explaining that bhav. Bhav and form are different. Only today, I attained complete bhav. No more questions. The form of a girl is visible. We must penetrate much deeper for bhav.“ He was looking deeply as he said this. "

Nanna, on 1st January 2001, while you were talking in Dhyana yoga classes, we felt as if Mother was directly speaking to us! You mentioned that on that day Mother has virtually arrived ‘, I said.

" That means that bhav has gone deeper. Meditation on the form of a woman and experiencing the bhav of a woman are two different and unrelated aspects altogether. Several meditate on the form of a woman. However they lack the experience of bhav. The Ashta sakhis (Eight sakhis of Radha) actually attained this stri bhav. A woman is different from woman’s bhav. A woman is a material form made up of organs. In Mother’s world, the concept of woman does not exist. The difference between a man and a woman does not exist. That is strange. Hence the religious scriptures also proclaim ‘Naiva stri…..’. Human being is none of the three genders – masculine, feminine or neuter. "

" Ask any poet to differentiate between stritwam (womanhood) and stri bhav (woman’s bhav). In stritwam, all organs exist, whereas stri bhav has no organs. That is the difference. I have realized this today. Sakhis have only the bhav of a woman not the physical form. Krishna always worships stri bhav Radha but never stritwam of Radha. Krishna is seen together with stri bhav Radha, not with stritwa Radha. Krishna certainly does not have the feeling of stritwam towards Radha. Only one in a million is aware of this (approach)! "

" Lord Brahma did not attain the stri bhav towards a woman. Therefore he desired her. He only saw the physical body of the stritwam in her. None of these pertain to bhav. Do you comprehend the subtle difference? Brahma, Vishwamitra, Saubari all of them had a fall from their spiritual plane only because they did not attain this stri bhav. They desired the physical form of the woman, which is stritwam. Stritwam is nature (prakrithi). Stri bhav is transcendental. "

" The sakhis are reluctant to see Krishna. What does this mean? Why did the gopikas agree to see him? Have you not got this doubt any time? Infact, they (gopikas) always yearned to see him! You should know this difference between the sakhis and the gopikas clearly. "

I asked Nanna, “do gopikas have a masculine feeling towards Krishna?’

" Yes. Gopikas have stritwam (womanhood) but not the stri bhav "

How can anyone go to God unless the body consciousness is shed? And the gopikas did come to Krishna!’ I asked

" There is no relationship between the two. It should be interpreted that he did not take them in the depth of his heart. He will not do so! "

While Nanna was telling like this, Anjani Amma said ‘there are two aspects of rasa: masculine bhav and feminine bhav. The masculine bhav will get service done whereas the feminine bhav offers service. Apparently the gopikas possessed masculine bhav within and so they asked Krishna to serve them by pressing their feet, fanning them and applying sandalwood paste. In order to remove their egoistic ‘purusha bhav’, Krishna disappeared. Gopikas do not have the deha bhav of male and female. They have masculine bhav within them.

Nanna continued,

" Why are the sakhis not agreeing to see Krishna? In stri bhav, there is no male, female or neutral aspect. The state of a sakhi is different from the state of a woman. Sakhi’s stage is very high. There is bhav in that stage, not stritwam (womanhood). Gopikas have their families. That is a state of womanhood. You must write about this difference. "

Speaking after a little while about dhyana performed by Lord Lakshmi Narayana Nanna said that Lakshminarayana asked Goddess Lakshmi embodied in his heart to leave because he did not want the feeling of stritwam in his mind. Lakshmi Devi transformed herself into Badri hillocks, surrounded Narayana and served him. Since then, Lakshmi Narayana is known as Badrinarayana. Woman or stritwam should not be present in dhyana. Even people like Saubhari and Brahma also fell because of this. Dhyana yoga is very difficult. Geeta implies that darshan of comprehensive God is for the dhyana yogis only, not for mere devotees. Geetacharya also said that one could see the soul only through dhyana. Only dhyana yogis can have darshan of God. Some people may say that they had darshan of God. It is not true. In the higher meditation that leads to fullest realization of God, there is only stri bhav and no stritwam.

‘Can people with families not perform dhyana?’ I asked Nanna.

" They can. But that is not dhyana. That is only chintana (contemplation). Geeta states “aNanya chintayantho mam ye janaha..”. Such a man has self realization, personal welfare (yoga kshemam) and contemplation. Hence it is mentioned ‘contemplation’ and not dhyana. "

" Dhyana is for the highest. Gita states ‘Dhyanena aatmani pasyante’. Here supreme lord does not say ‘God’ here but ‘soul’ only. The gender discrimination does not exist in God. We need that realization. It is very difficult to have such a darshan. Lord mentioned that you could see atman through dhyana but not you and me. "

Thus Nanna explained in detail talking about self realization.

‘Nanna, is Radha Devi the ‘atman’ mentioned in the Gita?’ I asked curiously.

" There are many dimensions in Her. She is the ruler of all the worlds. She must also rule the sages in transcendence. Both of these must happen. Mother’s nature is very peculiar. In “Dhyanena atmani pasyante” the ‘atma’ is just one aspect of Mother. Krishna also is not the devotee in respect of all the aspects of Mother. He is the devotee only for one aspect. Mother did not grant him all aspects. "

Nanna, does Krishna not worship the comprehensive Radha?

" Never. He is the devotee of only one aspect of Hers "

Did Krishna see Mother’s comprehensive form?’ I asked anxiously

" We don’t know. She might have revealed it to him sometime. We cannot say definitely whether he saw Her comprehensive form. He worships only one aspect of Her, not all aspects "

Can anyone in the universe see Her (comprehensive form)?’ I anxiously asked

" No, they cannot. "

Can the ashta sakhis see Her swaroopa?’ I again asked hopefully.

" She will reveal to them only those aspects they need. They don’t need all aspects. They want bhav roopa Radha because they worship only bhav. She reveals bhav to them completely. They want only bhav and not any other form or joy "

Is this is what meant by ‘tattvatah’ in Geeta?’ I asked carried away by the unfathomable flood of Mother’s philosophy.

" "

We have a grade here. The President of the Ramakrishna Mission in Guntur gave a lecture on ‘tattvatah’. Do you know the inner meaning of ‘tattvatah’? I asked him. He was unable to explain and left. I shall explain ‘tattvatah’ now. The sakhis do not even think of seeing Krishna. Imagine the depth of this bhav. Bhav is not an ordinary concept..

What can we say? What do we know?

Nanna, I am unable to fathom the depth of your stature. You are the intimate, confidential sakhi of the Supreme Goddess who reveals even Lord Krishna only one of Her aspects and who is the ruler of all fourteen worlds. You visualize and enjoy such complex and deep tattva constantly. Yet you became easily accessible to us and have lovingly taken us near you. What penance have we done to attain such good fortune?

Again I am back to square one! Is it impossible for anyone to perform such penance that can obtain the confidential sakhi of Sri Radha to guide us? It is the extreme kindness and love of Mother towards mankind that is the main reason for this great fortune.

On one hand, my thoughts were wandering on these lines. On the other hand I was anxiously wondering whether Nanna realized what ‘Tattvatah Radha’ is. When I looked up, I saw a graceful and unusual smile on Nanna‘s face even while he was in dhyana as if asking me ‘Any Doubt?’

Suddenly I remembered what Nanna said in the lecture on ‘Super Dhyana State’ on 10.12.2001

" Both the states - being in dhyana and also not being in dhyana are blissful. Mother is beyond dhyana. Mind cannot catch Her. Something supramental is required. Supramental is bhav. I can realize the inner meaning of ‘tatvatah’ "

Who is this Mahatma who is declaring that he undoubtedly realized the real meaning of ‘Tattvatah’? Who is this extraordinarily luminous person? Who is this incomparable one practicing Radha bhav? He is “Our Nanna”

Oh Mother! You have granted us your confidential sakhi who has clearly announced

I am like the sun. I spread my rays equally in the temple as well as in the toilettes. No one’s and nothing can touch me

Dear Mother, Your love alone can match your love!
