Rasa Guru

Bhavoddepam rahobhava maupamasudhasara sakhyaikasaram
Gopi bhavatparam gopyamati madhura dasyamm naveenam navodham
Radhapadankitam tatsukhamaya rasabhavam navaprema jeevam
Dhyayedradha sakhipavana charita mapoorvam rasopasanaikam

The essence of the unique nectarine sakhi tattva is full of rasa and very deep. It is beyond gopi bhav. It is concealed, combined with sweet bhav of service and always new. Radha sakhi surrenders at the lotus feet of Radha, considers others happiness as his own and is totally dedicated to Rasa . I meditate on the pious life of that Radha sakhi

" There are 14 worlds. I have a different form in each world. I wonder where Mother will depute me next and whether you would recognize me there or not! "

These were the words spoken by Rasika Siromani, Sri Radhika Prasadji Maharaj who is the epitome of Rasa, to his intimate devotees in 1990. The profundity of these words is beyond the reach of intellectual thinking. It is evident from the above words that Sri Radhika Prasadji, fondly addressed by his devotees, as "Nanna" possesses not only cosmic mind but also cosmic form. He introduced the unique path of Rasa to South India and presented Sri Radha to the people of Andhra Pradesh as "Chinnari"(the little one). He published the philosophy of Sri Radha in eight volumes entitled "Brindavaneswari Sri Radha Devi", (the Sovereign of Vrindavan - Sri Radha Devi) and gifted them to the world as a propounder of the philosophy of Sri Radha. He declared that among all paths adopted to achieve a place at the Holy feet of Sri Radha, ours is the 'path of Sakhi'. Sensitive thinking, loving nature to consider others' happiness as his own, living in a manner which pleases Mother - these are the natural qualities possessed by the Mahatma who is addressed by all of us as Nanna. "Be in the world, but don't belong to the world" - this is the divine quality preached and adopted by Nanna.

All human beings are figments of God. Such a holy being (as man) fell from his stature and got destroyed by being entranced by earthy allurements. How to uplift such a demeaned life? The answer is none other than Nanna. The extremely merciful Radhadevi sent her confidential Sakhi to this earth for the up-liftment of human beings. Because of our good fortune Radha Sakhi came to our rescue as Nanna. By constantly meditating on the nameless, formless and all pervading philosophy of Radha , one is certain to attain Rasa Loka - the world of Rasa. The Rasika Mahatma who reaches that state will not repeat the cycle of birth and death which results from worldly acts. When Mother assigns a duty, he comes to the earth, discharges his duty and returns to the abode of Mother. Radhasakhi - Nanna has come to this earth to uplift mankind at the behest of Mother.

" Meditate on Sri Radha incessantly and obtain permanent entry into the world of Rasa. As I am speaking to you about the path of meditation, Mother is observing me with a smile. The all pervading Mother is always with me. You believe me and follow me. "

Thus spoke Radha Sakhi - Nanna, mercifully.

On 4-2-2001, Nanna was giving a discourse in Radha Krishna Mandir , Secunderabad on the auspicious occasion of Bhishma Ekadasi thus.

" Radharani is the ruler of the world. That is Her majestic trait. The quality of sakhi which is more significant than this aspect always glows in Mother. Radhaji behaves not only as a sovereign but also as a Sakhi. "Bhaktanugrahakatara" - "ever eager to bless and bestow grace on Her devotees"- Mother is thus praised in the holy scriptures. She is always concerned that her devotees could be facing some distress. Such is the quality of a sakhi. A human being who does not serve such a Mother does not deserve to live. Recently on our way to Vrindavan, we alighted the train at Mathura railway station. The portrait of Mother- "chinnari" was forgotten at the station. After reaching Vrindavan ashram, at the time of offering milk to Mother, it was noticed that the portrait was forgotten at Mathura station. For me, it is not a mere portrait; it is the personification of Mother Herself. "Mother, I shall not touch a morsel of food or a drop of water till I obtain you", I thought and shut my eyes. The benevolent Mother was found exactly at the same place where the portrait was left in the station. I offered milk and fruits to my dear little one, partook the offerings, Prasad saying 'Today you have saved my life Mother "

With tears in his eyes and voice hoarse with emotion, Nanna was explaining the philosophy of Radha. One of his devotees asked with awe and surprise "I feel like knowing who you are!" Immediately Nanna reacted:

" It is impossible for you to know. I alone have the authority and qualification to speak about Radhadevi. In the whole of India I am the only one like myself. "

Anjani Amma then intervened and questioned "Nanna, did you create at least one person like yourself?" Nanna replied..

" As I said earlier, there cannot be another person like me. Only Rama can be like Rama! Only Krishna can be like Krishna! I do not have any ordinary human beings as my gurus. The loving Mother alone is my supreme guru. I got permission from Her to propagate the philosophy of Radha Rasa. An ideal guru should basically possess two divine qualifications - "

" 1) He should have a vision of God in God's abode. "

" 2) He should have obtained instruction from God to preach and propagate the divine philosophy "

" One who is lacking either of these qualities cannot be a guru. Even if one does preach about God without obtaining permission to do so, it would be only mere words but not with depth of thoughts or bhav. The power of destruction or construction emanates from every human being in the form of waves or vibrations, percolates and then permeates in the atmosphere. This is a peculiar law of nature. The powerful vibrations emanating from the body of satguru influence the surroundings. The plane of a divya guru (divine guru) is higher than that of satguru. He has no discrimination between man and woman. He has the power to purify the surroundings merely by his glance or words. The plane of Radhasakhi transcends even the plane of divyaguru. Physically the Sakhi may have a male or a female form, yet will possess the traits of a Rasa guru since birth. A guru in the form of Sakhi alone can lead the disciple to the abode of God. It is natural that such a guru will constantly see the Mother and be in a state of exquisite bliss. You should thus identify a guru who is Radha sakhi. He will give you what is desirable to you without any effort. He will not leave you till you reach the abode of God. 'I will be your constant companion. I will be your own man' - he will promise you thus and accordingly lead you to the feet of Mother. I am Radhasakhi I alone am like myself. There is no body else ". Saying so, Nanna gave a deep meaningful look. "

All of us were spell bound and became silent trying to understand and absorb the philosophy explained by Radhasakhi, whom we are seeing in the form of Nanna. What penance have I done to obtain Radhasakhi herself as a guru!" Thinking thus, I sat before Nanna.

" My Swamini(Radha) granted me the state where I cannot live without Radha Bhav. I am unable to give up the state of Rasa even for a minute. Sri Hitacharya has explained meditation in the states of awakening, dreams and deep sleep. I have surpassed all those three states. There is only a flow of uninterrupted meditation! The one who meditates on Mother without a moment's gap is only a Rasa Yogi. If you are constantly in the presence of such a yogi and are listening to him, Mother who is present not only within him but also near him will watch you. She will decide the time for upliftment. All that you have to do is to be associated with me! "

Hearing these words spoken while Nanna looked at us with love and mercy, I mentally saluted those who have the fortune to be constantly in the presence of Nanna.

We cannot even imagine the benefit we obtain by being associated with Nanna. Radha Mahalakshmi Devi herself gave a message on Jan 15,1999 about this. "By constantly being in the presence of Radhika sakhi, the path to reach Mother will become easier". For those who stay with Nanna and meditate as directed by him, their external and inner nature will be influenced unknowingly. Nanna will not even let us know the spiritual help he silently offers to us. Every life that is associated with him will certainly be oriented towards meditation. The person will realize over a period of time how Nanna silently and critically observed him and transformed him gradually as and when required. His life will blossom with the instinct to serve as a sakhi. No show biz! No publicity; no hypocrisy! Nanna works within us patiently, peacefully but successfully. Nanna's love and mercy are beyond words and mind's reach.

Yato vacho nivartante apraapyamanasa sah

Words and mind can't reach it (divine)

That is the stature of Rasa Guru in the form of Radha Sakhi!!!

Radha saran me rahe Radha sakhi
Sakhi saran me rahe rasika sada sukhi
Rasika janon ki 'Guru' sakhi hitakari
Radha rasamaya jeevan rasbhari

Radha sakhi is always in Radha's protection. Rasikas are always happy in sakhi's protection. Sakhi - the Guru of rasikas is ever helpful. Life immersed in Radharasa is indeed blissful.
