Supernatural Powers

Radha sakhi is the manifestation of the incredible grace of Sri Radha, the Supreme Deity. The Sakhi who is totally dedicated to Mother possesses the divine power to de-link and dissolve the karmas of human beings. The generally accepted doctrine is elucidated in the Gita as ‘Karmanam bhogato nasyet’ - ‘Karma is destroyed only by experiencing its results in this world’. This doctrine does not apply to Sri Radha or Her sakhi. On merely bestowing Her amazing grace, a human being is freed of his karmas. Sakhi’s heart is a treasure grove. One rivulet of the stream of Sri Radha’s ecstatic power perennially flows in the sakhi. Nothing is impossible for this infinite power.

The name and form are limited. Only Bhav permeates everywhere. The power of bhav is immense and unlimited. The Sakhi, who is perpetually immersed in Sri Radha bhav, is endowed with two extraordinary powers:

1. She does not allow the mind to get diverted towards any worldly object, however attractive it may be 2. She draws the person towards Sri Radha Devi, the all pervading and invisible Goddess

It is well known to the devotees of Nanna, the confidential sakhi of Radhaji, that he is endowed with both the qualities mentioned above.

Nanna said

" The response of the mind occurs in two ways – firstly mind works by itself and secondly it works through the eyes. As a result, many impressions are imprinted on the mind. Then it becomes difficult to continue meditation. Hence control the mind, cut off the senses and concentrate only on Mother. Man has six pranas (life forces), and not five (as normally believed). These five pranas are under the control of the sixth prana. Only Sri Hanuman knows this secret. The dual form of Sri Rama and Sita is Hanuman’s sixth prana. Sri Radha is the sixth prana of Sri Krishna. Sri Krishna is the sixth prana of Sri Radha. Likewise Sri Radha is the sixth prana of innumerable human beings. We must never forget that our main prana is Sri Radha. At one time the human being was at an elevated plane. Possessed with divinity, he had several powers……. "

I interrupted to ask why man who was in such an elevated plane has fallen down. Nanna continued:

" Three days back a great yogini appeared during my meditation. She said ‘Initially man was only a living being who performed penance. Where there is penance, you will certainly find God there. So, he attained Divine powers. Then he attained divine hood. "

" Living being + penance + divine power = human being attaining divine hood It is not sufficient if a human being and penance exist. The power of divine is also essential. The amalgamation of these three will become an infinite power. Kanva Maharshi, Bharadwaja Maharshi, Parasurama etc possess such infinite power. ‘ "

" Why was the human being who had such an immense power pulled down? When I asked Mother this question, She cited the example of a cloud. Water evaporated, rose upwards and formed a cloud. As if struck by some heaviness, it became water and came down. Similarly, Living being + Penance + Divine power – the three joined together and moved upwards. When some desire or thought struck, the power, which was as light as cotton became heavy and was pulled down. When thought, desire or mind becomes heavy; man’s downfall is inevitable. We must be cautious that they do not become heavy. "

" You have basically descended from the Divine plane. Owing to the heaviness above we have forgotten this fact. We have to regain our divine power. We do not possess the strong will to live only for God. That God as well as that love exists even today. If you yearn for Him, He can certainly be attained. The entire universe is filled with our sixth prana, Sri Radhaji. You feel that She seems to be near us this moment. And the next moment She is not! The only way to experience this Radha bhav is through incessant meditation. As you penetrate deep into meditation, the heaviness recedes; you become lighter and move swiftly towards Mother. It is human being’s prime duty to perpetually meditate on Sri Radha, who is ever benevolent towards Her devotees. With the grace of the compassionate Mother, the descended human being can regain his previous status of divine hood "
