Sri Hitacharya said, "The demonical worldly issues are more unbearable than torture of several hells. The discussion of Vedas is of no avail; even liberation seems fearful. Why do you even need the association of Suka and other sages when you are immersed in God's bhajan. My mind is always immersed in Rasa at the holy feet of Sri Radha."

-Sri Radharasa Madhuri Verse 83
| |
Sakhi cannot bear the touch of anything except Sri Radha. The delicate Radhasakhi fears the worldly matters; has no interest in Vedas and even spurns Liberation. She is immersed only in worshiping Sri Radha!
We are fortunate to be able to discuss all these aspects with Nanna. The confidential sakhi of Sri Radha, Her partner in Rasa, Her unique power of ecstasy lovingly came down to this world as Nanna. That great Rasikacharya lived as one among us. Whether his devotees realized it or not, he silently transmitted the flow of Sri Radha Rasa within them. Despite doing such a favour, he never expected anything from anyone.
In one of his songs he pleaded with Mother to shower Her grace upon man who is engulfed in worldly desires and thoughts - 'Vishayadi kamamulatho vidroha chintalagudi viharinchu bhuvilo janula aharahamu gaachu thalli'. Preaching that it is Her loving nature to protect man, he also showered similar love. He established ashrams in Brindavan and Guntur; made them Spiritual and Meditation Centres and imposed certain rules and restrictions. One of the rules stated by Nanna on 29.04.09 is that no one should leave the ashram without informing the Ashram President.
Nanna said that Sri Radha is that Mahabhava who considers the wellbeing of mankind as Her own. Even Nanna, the Radhasakhi considers the welfare of mankind as his. Only Nanna and Sri Radha who sent him on earth know how many people he benefited in his physical form and how many more he is still benefiting in his bhavadeha. By his compassion and grace, I obtained relief from the suffering of 10 years due to astral effects. One day while my suffering was too much, I heard Nanna's voice "'Jagrut swapna sushuptisu sphuratume Radha padabjachhataya'. Read this verse daily. You will feel good". Till then I did not see that verse in Sri Radhasudhanidhi nor did Nanna mention about it. The very next day when I opened a page of the book, I saw the 164th verse which Nanna mentioned the previous night. When he himself is the essence of Radhasudhanidhi, does he need to specifically see the book?
Nanna, the repository of Rasa distributes this treasure to the desiring ones and gradually triggers their yearning. He used to say that 'though you see Mother every moment through bhava, you still feel grief due to separation from Her. Weeping for Mother is so enjoyable.' Thus he used to enhance the yearning for that Rasa. Once he said. 'I gave up all mantras. Now I realize only Mother's love.' I asked him whether he would transmit the vibration of Radha's power as mantra. He replied, 'you may give it any name. I concentrate on Mother. The power of that bhava touches the person and they feel relief from their suffering'. How intense and deep his love is! He does not even like to propagate what he is doing for us.
Whether we realize it or not, it is a fact that a unique embodiment of Rasa and prema came down on earth. Living an ordinary life externally, he infused extra-ordinary loving vibrations of Rasa in the living beings. We are fortunate to address that embodiment of Rasa who lit the lamp of love within us, as Nanna. Even after he withdrew from the mortal form, he is continuously handing us Sri Radha's Prem Rasa. He does not believe in announcing his achievements or propagating his name and fame. Just giving love! The sakhi's love which will lead us to the holy feet of Sri Radha! How can we ever repay him?
These volumes of "Nanna Tho" (Our Association with Nanna) are mainly to share Nanna's divine love with everyone. Fortunately, he granted us the opportunity to record his speeches on various topics like Sri Radha, Bhavaloka, Sakhis, Incessant dhyana, Rasa tattwa etc. Every chapter of this volume ends with a verse from Nanna's songs, rendering resplendence.
Nanna himself has spoken all the matter in this book. It is only by his divine intention that these volumes are being written and not by human effort. Nanna, the perennial stream of bhava and love concealed some valuable gems in these cassettes. We have discussed some of them in the earlier volumes. In the talk covered in the chapter 'Patrapushpa sangatyam', Nanna showed a wonder. Along with Parameswar asking 'should we strictly maintain silence?' we can also hear Nanna's voice simultaneously saying 'Tapas'. Again while Nanna said 'you must be silent. Only tapas', we can also hear his voice simultaneously saying 'Tapas'. We cannot hear the voice when the sentence is completed; only simultaneously when Nanna is speaking the sentence. The same wonder repeated twice. We experienced the bhava that Sri Radha Herself is saying 'Tapas' along with Nanna. Mother is manifested in Her sakhi indeed!
Nanna clearly stated that 'Radhasakhi did not come from somewhere else. She emerged from Radha, manifested as Radha and is striving for the well-being of humanity.' Sri Radha is that flow of bliss which we experience when we think of Radhasakhi, our Nanna. Nanna is the manifestation of Radha. The words uttered by such a Nanna have found a place in these books. They are the source of rasa to bless his devotees.
I pray to Nanna to grant Radhasakhi's sakhyam (companionship) to the couple, Sri K.Narasimha Rao and Anuradha for printing this divine book.

I cannot forget the subtle way in which Guru's feet represent Sri Radha's feet. I cannot forget the stream of his everflowing love; I cannot give up thoughts of Brinda rasa. I know none other than you. Detach me from human bonds, take me to the world of rasa and grant me that rasa.
