Amma's Words |
Nanna, the personification of love, lived among us like a little child, spreading happiness and being happy. It is believed that children are innocent and represent divinity. Nanna granted us that fortune. At the same time, he was a siddhapurusha and a Rasayogi. He distinguished between both. Siddhapurusha attains certain powers, uses them for themselves, for name and fame. The Mahatmas who live for constant oneness with God go beyond the state of siddhi and yearn for oneness with their deity. That oneness is known as yogam.
Nanna's deity is the personification of rasa. That is why he always yearned for rasa and experienced the bliss of that rasa. Rasayogi is a Mahatma who possesses divine, supernatural powers; one who experiences rasa himself and provides rasa to others. Nanna is such a rasayogi. Many have obtained rasa from this Mahatma. But some of them lose it by lack of contemplation on what he attained. That is why Nanna clearly explained with easy to understand examples that our life should be a stepwise sadhana. He spoke about detachment, inwardness and self surrender in such simple words. Only when you are detached from the world, your journey towards inwardness begins. You will surrender yourself in the state of inwardness. Then Mother will bless you and take you to Her presence.
One who attains inwardness mostly remains in silence. It is not outer silence; it is inner silence. The mind becomes silent. One sees the Goddess in this shrine of silence. No wonder it is said that silence is penance. That is Supreme Silence, not ordinary silence. We have seen this nature in Nanna but could not understand him totally. We could not realize his inner depth though we were constantly with him, seeing his words, deeds and actions. Yet he granted us the fortune of recording his words and having them in the form of books today. There is no doubt that he only gave us the opportunity to record his words and print these books. Without these cassettes, we would be in vacuum. We shall try to understand his words at least now and live accordingly.

I hope that more volumes of this book will follow. I pray to Nanna to grant Rasamani the strength to write more books.
I bless Rasamani that she always attains Sri Radhasakhi's sakhyam , companionship of Radhasakhi.
