Author's Foreword

"Devanam ....jeevanam" Sri Radha Sudha Nidhi, Verse 96

'Sri Krishna was unattainable to demigods, devotees or friends. He fondly listens about and meditates on Sri Radha, who is the embodiment of rasa and love; who grants infinite bliss to those who approach her with love. He sings happily along with Her sakhis. With tears of ecstasy, he is always engaged in Her dhyana. The name of such a sweet Mother, Sri Radha is my life!'

In this verse, Sri Hitacharya described Sri Krishna who surrendered only to Radhaji. He ignores devotees, friends, liberated souls and meditates only on Sri Radha day and night. He is always singing Her glory. The Lord himself is chanting Her name 'Radha' which is filled with nectarine rasa. Nanna is the confidential sakhi of such a sovereign swamini who is unattainable to Brahma and other God even in their dhyana. In fact, Nanna said, ' I also participate in some of the confidential matters in Her dham.' Can we comprehend Nanna's spiritual status? We are fortunate to get Radhasakhi who is associated with Radhaji every moment as our Nanna. He became our mother, father, Guru, dearest sakhi and took us lovingly into his heart. He did not care about our eligibility. He came down to earth only to shower Radhaji's grace on mankind. With Her divine grace, he showered his love on all of us equally. Nanna is the manifestation of the all pervading, formless Radhaji. No wonder he has no other feeling except love. 'I cannot speak harshly. Mother is very sensitive. She will not be there where harshness prevails.' These words of Nanna are testimony of his tattwa of love.

Saying 'humility is sakhi's natural quality', he also said 'it is very difficult to identify a sakhi.' In this world filled with pomp and show. True Mahatmas are polite and humble with unmanifested divine qualities. That's why Nanna said 'You cannot see the rasika mahatmas.' He scaled the heights of rasa and shines radiantly among the egoistic people. We are fortunate to reach the holy feet of Nanna by his grace only in this world of maya. Without his kind blessings, we would not be able to know anything about the rasikacharya. His recorded speeches are the evidence of his infinite love! Though we heard Nanna's words, we forgot so many valuable secrets of rasa. By saying 'I listen carefully to whatever you speak' indirectly he hinted that we must be very attentive to his words. Yet, by human weakness known as forgetfulness, we cannot remember everything he said. He gave us the fortune to record his words. Since cassettes are not long lasting, he arranged a permanent way of recording his words through printing in the form of books.

While recording Nanna's words, we never planned to write books. We only wanted the experience of being in his presence by listening to his speeches again and again. Kusumakka, Nanna's daughter always expressed grief that she could not hear Nanna's words due to her hearing problem. One day, she told Nanna 'All devotees are listening to you so happily when you speak about Radhaji. I am deprived of that fortune.' He said 'don't worry, In future, my words will take the form of books, you will read them.' Aware of past, present and future; Nanna told us the secrets of rasa which are beyond the Vedas also and arranged to record them. Anjani Amma desired that this book should be released in 16 volumes like the 16 divine aspects. I pray that the desire of Amma, who is none other than the manifestation of Nanna's love, will fructify with her blessings.

'It is very difficult to attain Radha bhava. Even if it attained, it is momentary. One who attains that bhava is a rasika'. It is so difficult to attain Radha bhava and much more difficult to retain it. Our Nanna remained in Radha bhava every moment. Yet he drew all of us near him. We are overwhelmed by his love. There is no parallel to our fortune. ' The Gods are jealous of your luck.' These words of Nanna are indeed true! His divine statement that 'the Gods saw me once when I came down (as a sakhi). They will see me again when I go back near Mother' indicates our fortune.

We must reach the holy feet of Nanna who declared that 'my life is a glaring example to the whole world.' He also showed us the path to reach him. Radhaji told Nanna 'do dhyana and attain me.' The path to reach Radhasakhi is the same , through dhyana. Let us pray to Nanna that we shall move on this path and reach him.

'A real Guru is one who looks after you even if you falter from the right path' Thus explaining the role of a Guru, Nanna assured us that 'You will always have my grace and blessings.' That means Nanna is always looking after us. I pray that Nanna's wish is my command and our life is fruitful.

' Entha .... . andukova'

Sri Radhika! My Mother! I am blessed with your grace. Is it possible to praise your infinite love. I will not forget you even after several ages. Please unite me with you. Mother, Please come and accept the treasure of my heart.

Always at the lotus feet of Radhasakhi
