Author's Foreword

'Nija Praneswarya.......pada rasavilase mama mana.' - Sri Radha Sudhanidhi, Verse 55.

'Sri Krishna feels that 'this Sakhi (me) is the beloved one of Sri Radha the ruler of my life and embraces me, showers me with kisses and drowns me in the sweetness of his loving rasa. Though he tries to befriend me in different ways, and almost surrenders himself, my mind is always engaged only at Your holy feet.'

Shyam Sunder, one who is unattainable even to Brahma and other Gods, the most beautiful one in all the three worlds surrenders himself to Sri Radha's sakhi in many interesting ways. He aims to please Radhaji through such efforts. But sakhi is Radhaji's one pointed devotee. So she is not willing to accept Shyam's requests. Sakhi focusses all her senses at the holy feet of Radhaji. Though Krishna, one who is unattainable to Maharshis, Brahmarshis, gods and Vedas expressed his desire to be friends with sakhi, her sight is firmly focussed at Sri Radha's feet.

Nanna explained many times how Sri Radha's sakhis are full of bhava and shine with the glow of one pointed devotion towards Her. The divine characterisation of Ananya Nishta (one pointed devotion), Sahacharini bhava (Companionship bhava), tatsukhena sukhitwam (your happiness is my happiness) are incessantly flowing in Sri Radha's confidential sakhi, our Nanna. His words that 'I feel that She will give me a special state which other sakhis do not have' show that he is also Her sakhi like the ashtasakhis and Hitasakhi. Well, Hita sakhi's attention did not waver from Her holy feet although Krishna himself embraced her. For Nanna, Krishna doesn't exist separately; only Radha!

We are fortunate to have Radha's sakhi as our guru. We know not what penance we did in the past. Once Nanna said, 'you did not come to me by your penance.' So only Nanna's love and kindness gave us this great luck. He publicly declared that 'Brahma and other gods saw me only once. They will see me again on my way back to Mother.' Such a Nanna who is our father, mother, guru, God, dearest sakhi is giving us the flow of dhyana yoga. At times he speaks like a God ' you will be blessed by doing Sri Radha dhyana yoga.' Taking care of our wellbeing, he clearly tells us what we lose by not doing dhyana. It is not an exaggeration that no other guru will play so many roles to make his devotees become so blessed!

In his speech , he said ' in future, my experiences will also be discussed. Who is the witness? I am only the witness.' The words of Radha sakhi are flowing in the volumes of this book. All thoughts are based on one principle only--Radha bhava dhyana. Nanna came to earth to give the flow of this bhava dhyana to the world. That is why though his words may appear repetitive, each a time a newness and loving uniqueness is projected. We must be receptive to take what he is so lovingly giving to us.

He explained in detail about union of form and formlessness and incessant chanting of name. In the chapter 'Sri Radha - the embodiment of dhyana' he said 'I got used to the formlessness with great difficulty. Since then, formless soul-related powers are shining in me.' Thus he projected himself as our trend setter. Again speaking about how he cured some unbelievably critical persons, he said 'Mother has many mysterious powers' and put Her before him.

He said that as we move higher in dhyana, Radha's form must disappear and bhava must appear. 'When Mother's impression is formed in the Rasika's mind, he will weep when he listens to even a little bit about Her'. We saw Nanna in such a state many times. Listening to the letters 'Radha' would take him into a state of bhava and he would shed tears of joy of rasa. 'I am not saying what I read about Radha in books or heard about Her from other Mahatmas. It is my personal experience.' Thus he implicitly stated that he witnessed every incident. Suddenly he would say 'what more can I say?' The small sentence holds infinite meaning!

'Swayameva nayika roopam vidhaya', speaking about this verse from Vedas, Nanna said that 'when the Vedas were in Samadhi, a bright light emerged from the leading lady and a name was heard. Radhe Radhe Radhe came out from the little girl and filled the whole world.' When you hear such a Radha name, you will get detachment towards the world and attraction towards Her.

He stressed that nothing can be worse than begging in the name of God. This statement was made referring to people who ask donations for constructing temples. A true God will get money for himself. Nanna's teaching that we must live like Mother's children and not like beggars should guide our life.

'The radiantly shining Radhaji is our Mother. She is nameless and formless. If we give Her a name and form, we are bringing Her down. Don't undermine Her. Let us all do dhyana on Her all pervading nature as Nanna has always taught us. He showed us through his life how powerful tapasya is. Nanna is not only our guru but our loving sakhi too!

The volumes of this book are coming to light with the blessings of Nanna and Anajani amma. I pray that the 16 volumes should attain completion like the 16 aspects. Nanna's devotees are helping in printing these books. May they attain the divine blessings of our Radhasakhi.

Nanna, please take us to your feet soon. Mother, please consider my ignorance and pitiable state, bless me and protect me.

Always at the lotus feet of Radhasakhi

Rasamani
