Sri Sevakji Maharaj
The life of Sevakji is pure, majestic and is an unprecedented one. Without ever beholding Hitaji he possessed his Grace. Though he did not receive 'initiation' from Hitaji he was hailed as his dearest disciple by the devotees. Though he never directly listened to the voice or instruction of his Gurudev, he understood the depth of his Rasic philosophy and commented on it in a magnificent manner. The gret soul Sevakji, though stayed for only ten days in Vrindavan, his place among the disciples of Harivamsaji is the highest.
Sevakji was born in a village 'Gadha' situated in Gondwana region near Jabalpur. His life, since childhood, had spreaded fragrance of devotional conciousness. He always used to immerse in the service and worship of the Lord. There was another divine person of higher order by name Chaturbhuja Dasji. Both were living a life of devotional charm and undivided attention towards the Lord. Both of them were eagerly waiting for the arrival of 'Sadguru' in their lives. Fortunately during the same time a few disciples of Sri Harivamsaji visited their village. Feeling the devotional sweetness and charm in the songs (pad) of Divine Ras of Sri Radhakrishna they immersed in ecstasy. Soon they were influenced by the philosophy and the teachings of Hitaji and decided to visit Vrindavan to receive initiation from him. But unfortunately, Hitaji reached the Divine abode of Radhaji before they could reach Sridham Vrindavan. Both were depressed by the sudden departure of Hitaji.
Chaturbhujadasji, later, intended to receive the 'holy mantra' from the eldest son of Harivamsaji in Vrindavan and he told about his intention to Sevakji. However, Sevakji firmly replied, "I regard Hita Harimsaji as my 'Sadguru'. I cannot even imagine any other person as my Guru. If he blesses me the 'holy mantra' I will meditate on it, otherwise, I leave this mortal coil". Chaturbhujadas advised him not to be so stubborn in a sensitive matter related to Sadguru, but it is of no avail. Chaturbhujadas left for Vrindavan.

In the Sri Dham Chaturbhujadasji received intiation from Vanachandra Goswami and came back to his Village after some time to see his divine friend. To his astonishment he found Sevakji too was chanting the same transcendental mantra that he had from Vanachandraji.
Having impressed by the devotion and Ananyanishta of Sevakji, Harivamsaji descended to the earthly plane and initiated Sevakji into the worship of Rasa. While blessing the 'holy mantra' Hitaji even manifested the majestic ambience of transcental Vrindavan and sanctified the life of Sri Sevakji. This incident echoed the strengh of Ananya Bhakthi (undivided devotion). Soon after the initiation, Sevakji's divine heart unfolded and intellect blossomed. He effortlessly understood the meanings secretly shining behind the verses authored by Hitaji and wrote a magnificent commentary on the Rasic philosophy initiated by him. Among the congregation of devotees this book became very popular. Soon it reached the hands of Vanachandraji. Persuing the book Vanachandraji became ecstatic and directed all the devotees of the tradition to read it along with Hita Chaurasi in their daily prayer. Since then, in Radhavallabh devotion it has become a devotional custom to read these two Holy Books every day.

Vanachandraji intensively longed to see Sevakji after reading 'Sevak Vani'. He invited Sevakji to Sridham Vrindavan. On the occasion of the visit of Sevakji to Vrindavan, he declared that the entire wealth of Radhavallabhji will be dedicated to Sri Sevakji. Having known this declaration, Sevakji secretly visited Vrindavan in a disguise lest the wealth of Radhavallabha will be given to him. As he stood before Radhavallabhji he immersed in Bhav and assumed a strange posture. Looking at the ecstatic features, Vanachandraji recognized that the person standing before Radhavallabha is Sevakji himself. He embraced him with love. As appealed by Sevakji, Vanachandra dedicated entire Bhog) food offering to the Lord) of Radhavallabha on the day to Sevakji. Sevakji distributed the Bhog among the saints and devotees.

Sevakji stayed in Vrindavan only for a few days. One day at Ras Mandal when he immersed in the meditation of Radhaji, it was narrated in the local history, he had reached the abode of Sriji.
