Baradwaja Maharshi
The Supreme consciousness is God. He is Absolute, All powerful and All pervading. Lord Krishna in the Geetha said.
All the beings are my 'Amsa' (Part). They are very ancient.
Jeevathma (Soul) is like Lord himself. Their relationship is like one between the sea and its waves. Both have no beginning and both are eternal.
The pure Jeevathma who is part of the Lord used to possess many a Super natural powers. It is but natural that the 'Amsa' (part) of the Supreme possesses such Divine powers. A spark of fire will have qualities of fire. The Holy scriptures have ellucidated the fact that Atma (Soul) which is embodiment of Paramathma (God) naturally possesses his unique powers.

Life stories of a few Divine personalities are narrated here which clearly reflect the Divine qualities the Jeeva once had.

Baradwaja Maharshi
Maharshi Bharadwaja's Divine Shakthi has been reverentially described in the Ramayana. Baratha while travelling in the forest to meet his brother Sri Ramachandra alongwith his huge entourage rested near the ashram of Bharadwaja Maharshi. Bharatha later went inside the Ashram and offered his salutations to the Maharshi and apprised him about his intention to relax his numerous entourage nearby the ashram. "Bharatha, yourself and all your associates stay here to night. All of you, have your dinner here itself," ordered the Maharshi soon after listening to Bharatha.
Bharatha who was accompanied by hundreds of followers and several animals like elephants and camels, wondered as to how the Maharshi who had only two disciples with him can feed all his associates. Moments later, Bharatha found a spacious grassland arranged with a big pond in the middle nearby the ashram. Animals were merrily taking bath in the pond. Sometime later all his entourage were fed sumptuously. Melodious enthralling, philosophical music has filled the surroundings.
Bharatha astonished at the powers of Maharshi. This is an example to the Divine power the Jeeva once possessed.
