Conscious Form (Bhava Swaroopa)

Nanna clearly explained the tattwa of Sri Radha, the embodiment of bhava.

" Manayeva manushyanam karanam bandhamokshayoh "

" Mind is the sole reason for man's bondage or redemption. The mind is like a sharp knife which relieves us from bonds when it moves upwards towards the cosmic world. During sadhana, the same mind pulls man down and destroys him if it turns downwards. The same mind has both these powers. "

" The mind must qualify to attain the state of moksha which is mentioned in the Vedas. The mind must be thoughtless. Then it will have four divine powers. One of these powers is Divine love. Another is divine power. In the Ramayana, we read about 14000 demons including Khara and Dhushana. They always moved in groups. At one time, there was only one arrow in Rama's hand. He made a amental resolution and sent that arrow towards them. The single arrow killed all the 14000 demons. That is divine power. It is infinite power. It is so powerful that an arrow will kill the enmy and return back to its original position. Arjuna had such powers. His arrows always hit the enemy and returned to him. Rama and Arjuna had divine powers. We also must attain that thoughtless mind. Why do you get thoughts? When you move in the world and see the objects with your eyes, it forms an impression on your mind. Then only your mind will wander. "

" The main requirement of Yoga is inward vision. Antharmukha. One who has inward vision does not have any link with the world. There exits only One and not Many. The mind is directed only towards that One! He is a Yogi. One who has only outward vision has a link with the world and sees many objects around him. He is moving a round but cannot see the main object! After he was born, Brahma wondered who his father was. He tried to find him in all the worlds but could not. When he became dejected and wept 'why didn't my father give darshan? I don't know where I came from. I am so ignorant. I am in a pitiable state.' Then he heard a voice from the sky 'Tapa Tapa'. He realized that Narayana, his father sent him that message. 'My son. Don't move around aimlessly. It is of no use. Your mind will wander in all directions. You will be diverted by various objects. The only way for you is inward vision. You will obtain inner vision through tapasya. So do penance.' Brahma began his penance and finally attained God. Penance is essential to attain God. Inward vision is also essential. They both go together. We must avoid outward vision. We see many things-good and bad. All kinds of people move around us. We have cruelty, love, desire and bestial nature all around us. We lose our concentration. That is a potential danger. So, outward vision must be avoided. That is a yogic quality. Unless you have this quality, you cannot move upwards. Hence the two essential requirements are thoughtless mind and inward mind. The Bhagawata emphasizes on the power of inward vision referring to Brahma. The sages went to the forest or cave to do penance because there are no human beings and worldly objects there. "

" I also thought 'this room is enough for me. I will not go out anywhere.' I did not even see the street so far. My mind is very peaceful here. Whoever wants me comes to me. I don't go anywhere or meet anybody, however great they may be. They come here, sit near me, greet me and leave. I don't want anything from them. I don't have any desire for any worldly object. I don't expect any favour from any person in this world. In fact I have no desires in this world. My only desire is to see Mother. That is my only wish. I want to serve Her. I don't want anything else. That is my state! "

" ..one person. He stopped. It is good. I never desired anything. He got the idea. Its implementation needs money. Mother will provide the money. If nobody will take up in a week's time, I will take up the whole job. We have the confidence that we don't need anybody's help. Mother will take care of us. You also must live with such confidence. This is the third point. Throughout 24 hours, whether I sit or stand, I feel that Mother is present everywhere. She will never leave me. I will not leave Her. She is endowed with Supreme powers. Nobody else possesses the power thatShe does! Krishnenaaradhyathethi Radha'. She is worshipped by Krishna and became Radha. Rama was named by rishis in a ceremonial way. Radhajinever had such naming ceremony. Nohuman being gave Her that name. Only because She is constantly worshipped by Krishna, She became Radha. She is his deity of worship. (aradhya devatha). Gradually She became Radha from aradhya. That's how she got Her name! 'Janavakyam kartavya'. Wherever you see, you find Krishna worshipping Her. Most of the people in Brindava are also not aware of this fact. The followers of Gowdi cult proclaim that Krishna is the highest and has a place above Radha. That is not correct. It is against science, scriptures , tattwa and even Vedas. "

" In one scripture, it is stated that Radhaji worships Herself. There is nobody else. She is the worshipper and She is the Supreme. From Her worship of Herself, a little boy was born. He is Krishna! The satras say that Krishna is born from Radha. There is no mention of Radha being born from Krishna in any religious books. I can challenge this. There is Radha only. In one instance, Krishna says 'we are not two. Many people think that Radha and Krishna are two separate individuals. That is wrong. We are one only. Ours is one swaroopa. We don't have two forms. Those who think that we are two separate forms will go to hell. They will remain I hell as long as the Sun and the Moon exist. They are sinners.' So he who considers them as two separate entities is a sinner. Let us not commit that mistake. We must worship them as one only. If we worship Radha, Krishna is within Her. If we pray to Krishna Radha is present within him. Banke Biharji in Brindavan is only One. But truly, he is not one; the second entity is concealed within him. On one side of the idol, you can see the dress of a little girl. This implies that Radha is concealed within him. In our ashram, Krishna is concealed within Radha! "

" One person came to our ashram and asked 'why did you keep only one idol?' I replied that i would go to hell if kept both idols. I would become a sinner. That's why I kept only a single idol of Mother.' 'What! Will we go to hell if we keep both idols?' 'Yes. Krishna himself said so in one verse. Our Krishna is within Mother. Sit here and do penance for a few days. By Mother's grace, you will be able to see Krishna within Her.' He came and did penance here. We don't need two idols. On Charanadarshan day, every year, thousands of people visit the temple to have a darshan of his holy feet (charan). Last year, a devotee (Nagamani) was here. She asked me whether I would go for Charan darshan. I said 'I don't need to go anywhere. Everything is present in my Mother only. Then why should I go somewhere else? Okay. Let us see tonight.' I was sleeping in this chair that night. She slept on the floor nearby. At 1.30 a.m. I woke up. She too woke up at the same time. When she looked at me, she saw two feet from my heart. They were shining brightly. She bowed before them. So, wherever you pray to Radha, Krishna is certainly present. If you think Radhasakhi belongs to Radha; Mother is certainly present where Radhasakhi is present. When Mother is present, Krishna is also present within Her. Banke biharji is not somewhere else; he is present here only. She agreed to this point. Contemplation on One only is correct. Never practice with two. Unknowingly you will worship both and lose because Mother will not be seen. Contemplate only on Mother with full concentration. "

" I discussed three points so far. First, attain thoughtless mind. Second, maintain inward vision and avoid outward vision. Third, realize that there is only a single entity and not dual forms. "

" Radha and Krishna are not two; they are one only. You must contemplate (chintana) on that One! We have only Radha in our ashram. Krishna is present within Her. Scriptures mention that Krishna was born when Radha was worshipping Herself. So Krishna is born from Radha; Radha is not born from Krishna. These are three important points. I will tell about other points later. "

Who else but a sakhi knows the secrets of Rasadham? Nanna the Radhasakhi said ;' Krishna was born when Radha was worshipping Herself. He is constantly worshipping Her. I can challenge this.' Who else but the aspect of Radhaji can make such a statement?

Sakhi is the admission letter to reach Sri Radha's holy feet. He clearly emphasizing this fact saying, 'I am Mother's sakhi. She is present where Radhasakhi is present. Once Mother is present, Krishna is invariably present'. If we seek shelter at the holy feet of Sri Radha with love, we can attain Her and also Krishna who is within Her!

" Contemplation on Sri Radha in solitude. More the solitude, more effective is your contemplation. That is why most of the sages maintained silence. They never spoke. They are known as 'mouni' (from mounam meaning silence). There is no penance greater than silence. The Vedas also clearly mention that Silence is penance; Truth is penance. Worship truth in silence. Don't worship with words. There is nothing in silence. The mind should not be active. It is not silence of words but silence of mind. The mind must be inactive. If the mind is in this state even for a minute, enormous power is generated. Those who remain in silence are known as Maharshis. Atri is a great mouni, a muneeswara. He who maintains silence is a mouni. Before Lord Narayana took up penance in Badari, he looked into his mind and found Goddess Lakshmi, his consort there. He asked her to leave before he began penance. "

" Mental silence is so great! You will not have any thoughts in mental silence. Thoughtless mind is mostly silent. He has no thoughts, no problem and no issues. The thoughtless mind comes from silence. Swami Vivekananda went to Jeruselam to find out what dhyana Christ preached. When he asked somebody, he was told that they follow the three points mentioned by Christ to reach the higher worlds. Go into your room. Our room is Radharani.; our contemplation on Radhaji. You want Radha only and nothing else. Close the door behind you. When you contemplate on Her, close the doors of nature. That means, develop inward vision. You must not be an extrovert. Don't look at the world around you. Go near Mother and do have any other thoughts. Pray in secret. Your prayer must be in secret; secret means silence. Both imply the same. Go inwards and worship your deity. Christ did not mention about any name or form! "

" We also do not follow name or form. We must worship the nameless and formless Mother. This is the fourth point. When there is name and form; it becomes limited. Your deity has no name because giving a name will limit Her existence. Nameless Mother is all pervading. We must worship only the nameless and formless Mother. This is the fourth point. "

" Now repeat all the four points. "

Nanna not only taught us how to do dhyana but also checks whether we carefully listen to him and understand what he says. Once he said that he listens carefully to what we tell him. When Nanna listens carefully to our mundane talk, then how attentively we must listen to his words filled with rasa? No guru takes as much care as Nanna. He is not only our guru; he is our Mother, our father, God and above all, our sakhi. That's why he is keenly observing within us.

" We must always remember these four points. Suppose we say 'there he is' instead of 'he is everywhere'; suppose we take a name; then it is limiting God. God is not limited, he is all pervading. It is very difficult to realize God. But we must understand his tattwa sometime, in some birth. We must worship only the all pervading God. The Bhagawad Gita tells about the highest dhyana: "

Bahunam janmanamanthe gyanavan man prapadyathe
Vasudeva sarvamithi sa Mahatma sudurlabhaha
----

" 'Krishna is present in the whole Universe. My deity is Krishna because he is all pervading. I don't have many Gods; I have only one God. That one God filled the Universe. He is present everywhere. Wherever I see, I find him only.' One who is in such a bhava that God is all pervading is a Mahatma and such mahatmas are very rare to find; maybe only one or two in the world. They cannot be seen easily. "

" We see wherever our mind wanders. Narada told Prahlada about this yoga. The Gods feared that Hiranyakasapa's wife would give birth to a demon like him. They were taking her to a lonely place to kill her. Narada met them and asked where they were going. When the Gods said that they wanted to prevent the birth of another demon by killing her, he said 'she may be demon's wife. The child in her womb is a Vaishnava; a yogi; an introvert. God cannot live without him even for a moment. You are planning to kill such a child. It is wrong. I will take her to my ashram.' He took her with him and gave her milk and fruits. When she slept, he heard a voice from within her 'Swami, pleae accept my respects. When will you enrich my life?' Narada wondered who was speaking. 'I am in my Mother's womb. Please show me the away to reach God. How should I worship God? By what name should I address him?' Then Narada told the boy about the nameless, formless and all pervading God. After he grew up, his father asked him 'who is your God? You are always chanting Hari Hari. Who is that Hari?' Prahlada replied "

Indugaladanduledani sandehau valadu Chakri sarvopagatundai
Endendu vedaki joochina andande kaladu
----

My Hari is everywhere. Wherever you see, there he is! Wherever you call out Mother, She is there. She is present in every room of every house. Our Mother is all pervading. Let us now understand how to worship the all pervading Mother.

" Our mind has not developed so much. It is finite; it cannot move everywhere. How can the small mind worship the all pervading Mother? That is the divine path explained by Prahlada. 'I am present here, speaking to you. As I am talking to you, Mother is also present near me. She is in my heart. I am in Her presence.' I always think 'Mother. You are showing me the path. I am preaching only what you teach me. Don't leave me even for a minute.' When I go into he next room , I think 'Mother, You are here, near me'. When I go to Vijayawada or Guntur from Brindavan, I think She is with me. You also must think like that. She is always with you, wherever you go. She is within your inner mind, in your heart. The mind is in solitude. Right now She is within me. "

Nanna confidently and lovingly stated that Mother is within him, in his heart. We were enthused to hear those words. He practiced and showed us how to do contemplation and dhyana on the all pervading Mother.

" Don't give a form to Mother in your heart. Don't give any name. She has neither name nor form. What is it that has no name or form? Bhava! Mother is worshiped in three ways: name, form and bhava. Vivekananda stated 'God lives in bhavaloka. Nobody can go there without attaining bhava.' The first condition to enter Her kingdom is to develop bhava. As I continue in bhava, this body consciousness is lost. This earthly body is shed and a new body will be formed. Later, that body also will be shed and another body is formed. That is bhava deha. Man attains bhava deha after shedding both the bodies. He goes to Mother with bhava deha. The second body is placid and friendly and made up of a peculiar material. That body also must die. Then only the third body, bhava deha is formed. Vivekananda said that there is no sadhana for bhava. Then how to attain bhava? She must grant it; you cannot gain it on your own. It is not available in the market. No sage or muni; not even Rama or Krishna can give bhava. Bhava is present only in Her world. She will grant it to you. Nobody can go near Her without bhava. Everybody in Her kingdom are always in bhava. When they speak in that bhava, they think of Mother and weep. Weeping is his talk! A yogi also weeps near Mother. He cannot speak before Her. He is only weeping. That is bhava; bhava of sorrow, love, rasa..He will remain in such a state of rasa. Note down this point also. "

Nanna explained about bhava swaroopa in detail. Speaking with the bhava deha developed withi him, he hinted subtly about his forthcoming journey to Sri Nikunj. "Suppose I am going like this...' He indicated his journey to Sri dham with bhava deha. He showed us how one can remain in bhava all the time. Radhasakhi's life is full of bhava.

" Bhava swaroopa has no name or form; only bhava. Bhava is the form there. Bhava is the time. Bhava is Her name. That is Radha bhava. We must constantly contemplate on Radha bhava. As bhava becomes deep, we feel like weeping. That why somebody immersed in bhava weeps. One who experiences bhava cannot stop weeping. Everybody is weeping in that world. That is the speciality of bhava! "

" Once, Mother was moving in a garden. A rose bud was weeping. Mother heard this and went near the bud. 'My little one, why are you weeping? What is your problem?' 'I am still a little bud. I still did not blossom. Unless I blossom into a flower, You will not accept me and kiss me. You will not see my fragrance or adorn me in your hair. How long should I wait like this? That is why I am weeping; more so because You are here but will not accept me.' Mother placed Her hand on the bud. Instantly it blossomed into a flower. She took the flower in her hand, placed it on Her eyes and Her heart ad then in Her hair. This is a leela that actually took place in her world. That is bhava loka. Not only people but animals, birds, flowers and fruits are all weeping. We don't know about that weeping. A little baby is born weeping. Why does every child cry when he enters this world? He attains a touch of bhava loka. That is why he cries when he is born. We are very happy and ring the bells of God when a baby is born. Mother is so magnificent. Contemplation on Mother can be on form or a leela. That is also bhava. Leela chintana is a vast ocean. "

" Remember whatever I told you. Nameless, formless and silent dhyana is very difficult. You are within the society. Man curses when he is alone because he is bored and there is nobody around him. But truly speaking, the real power, the spiritual growth is present only in solitude, not in society. When many people gather together, so many thoughts will emerge; so many words will form; so much criticism will evolve. Mother said 'Don't criticize anybody. It does not matter whether he is good or bad. Your ego will increase by criticizing others. If you say somebody has no knowledge, are you intelligent? Are you trying to project that you are clever and he is not? Your ego will increase with this attitude. Such criticism takes place only in a crowd, not in solitude. The first point in dhyana is to remain in silence, not in society. You have no benefit from society. People group together and discuss unnecessary matters. This is very harmful. The rishis always remain in solitude. Bharadwaja Maharshi had only two disciples, one stayed with him and another stayed at the entrance of the forest. Today, the number of followers indicates the greatness of a guru. This is a wrong practice. The sages of earlier tome were against crowds; they preferred to remain in solitude. There is more harm than gain if you are in the society. The second point - you are not aware of the truth. It takes a long time for you to reach that state. One who is in pursuit of God must not have external vision. He must be an introvert, not an extrovert. Due to outward vision, he is in contact with the world and gets all kinds of negative thoughts. Then man faces downfall. The Bhagawata cites the episode of Brahma. He could not get any information about his father as long as he searched with outward vision in the world. He heard the divine voice 'Tapa Tapa. He did penance, turned around and saw God. Lord Narayana said 'you wandered all over the earth so many times. Did you find me? Now did you understand my world?' Brahma realized that his father, Vishnu preached that penance is the only way to realize God. "

" What do you obtain by penance? Inwardness! All the sages doing penance are introverts. The human being doing penance also turns inwards. It is easy to hold Mother in that state. The path of worship is inwardness only. When Brahma became an introvert and did penance, his father gave darshan. One who listens to Bhagawata must understand every incident with inward vision. We cannot understand the Bhagawata with external vision. "

" God's room means the room within you, I your heart. Radhaji's bhava, Her bhava swaroopa is Her room. It is bhava swaroopa, not nama swaroopa. Mother's bhava is known as Radha bhava. That Radha bhava swaroopa is Her room. This will come with practice. Vivekananda said that god lives in bhava loka and nobody can enter that world without bhava. If we are in Mother's bhava for some time, we cannot control ourselves. We feel like weeping. We must be inwards most of time. Chaitanya was always weeping. His eyes were never dry; they were always wet with tears. Ramakrisha's eyes were always wet. He was always weeping before Mother. Weeping is the manifestation of bhava. I wrote one song. I was weeping with that bhava that I left Mother and came here. So long has passed..... and then composed this song: "

Enta kalambaye Radharo ninu veedi
Aa premabhavamu aa rasaleela.
----

Mother, so many ages have passed since I left You. I am destroyed and moving about; I am having birth and rebirth. I had so much while I was with you.....

" Near You, there is only love all the time. The flowers also weep.(he told about the rose bud which blossomed with Her touch). The buds are weeping because it is so long since they saw Her. "

" The whole environment around You is only love. Wherever we see, we find love. Everybody would weep thinking of You. "

" Where You are, rasa is there. Every small thing is rasaleela. The episode of the rosebud is rasaleela. Mother showed Her rasa because the poor bud was weeping. The sakhis are weeping though they are with Mother. That love is not found here, in this world. That rasa leela is not seen here. This world has only fights, quarrels, no rasa leela. "

Speaking about inwardness, Nanna gradually went into the depth of Radha bhava. Sakhi nature is very sensitive and tender. Sakhi cannot tolerate even a little roughness. The sakhi with a tender mind lovingly came down as Nanna. He stepped into this rock hard world from the world filled with love and rasa. There he had the company of Yogamaya; here he has mahamaya. He accepted everything for the sake of human beings and showed his love on us. The divine love is evident in every word of his talk.

" I am facing so many difficulties and shortfalls in this world. Unless You come back near me and glance at me I will be spoilt further. I will degrade myself some more. One person was working near Mother, he had some problem. I also shared his problem and spent three sleepless nights. I was weeping that I became far from Mother. Then I realized that one must not get deeply involved in the worldly matters. Husband and wife, relatives, guru and disciple may fight. If you interfere and get that touch, you will certainly face downfall. That is against Rasa leela. Remember this always. "

Nanna is explaining how man is engulfed by maya and moving away from Mother. If we do not have the bhava that 'Mother is seeing me; I am in Her sight' all the time, we will fall. One person who did real service to Radhaji faced some family problem. He discussed this with Nanna wh worked for 4-5 days in the astral plane and solved his problem. Seeingthe various kinds of problems faced by man due to maya, Nanna was very hurt. That's why he said not to involve in worldly matters as it is against Rasa leela.

The demons entered Vraja. All the people are suffering.' 'Ah'. She simply fell down on hearing these words. Such is Her love for the people of Vraja. They are always associated with Her.She sheds tears when they are in problems. He shed tears when Narada told Her about their difficulties. That bhava is veryimportant. "

" Maya is the root cause of problems. It is spread all over the world. "Daivihyesha gunamayi mama maya durutyaya". The Gita stated that maya has some divine power. Maya is born where God is born.So it is difficult to defeat maya.It changes man's thinking every minute. It will not allow him to be sensitive. Maya imparts roughness. Maya means lies, deceit and secrecy. All these together form maya. That maya tied us and brought us down to this state. Nobody can conquer maya. "Durutyaya" - difficult to cross over. Maya envelops in a second. "

Nana narrated the incident from Narada Purana where he asked God to show his maya form. By God's resolution, Narada became a woman, married, had children; wept at the death of her husband and children and then finally loses maya by God's grace and became Narada again.

" Maya makes you forget yourself. Man forgets himself and thinks he is someone who he really is not. Narada believed that he was a woman. In this way, maya will give you a form which is not yours. It will give you menial thoughts. Maya is of two types - inner and outer maya (antharmaya and bahirmaya). Inner maya changes the nature of the person. It will instill different bhavas like desire and lust. Outer maya will point out an external source to satisfy the desire. This is what happened when Narada became a woman. He understood what maya is. The mind of the person engulfed in maya becomes distorted. Maya is mainly exhibited in three forms - dareshana, dhaneshana and putreshana. Dareshana is attraction between man and woman. It is maya that draws the attention of a man towards a woman and vice versa. Dhaneshana is desire for wealth. Somebody may offer you money to do a wrong deed. He commits a crime due to greed for money. Putreshana is man's inherent fondness towards his child. He cannot live if his child dies. Dasaratha was a great king but was excessively fond of his son, Rama. When Rama was about to leave for the forest, he wept 'My son, you are leaving your father, mother, brothers, kingdom and going to the forest like a beggar. I caot see you like this. I cannot think of you suffering..'. He fell and dead immediately. He died only because Rama was not near him. That is putreshana! "

" Yesterday one girl came to our ashram. Everyone requested me to bless her to have children. So maya is working unobtrusively between man and wife, mother and child and around wealth. Man lies for money, kills for money. Maya pulls man down in all these three aspects. When anybody gives me money, I always think 'I am getting this money only because of Mother. I will take it here and hand it over to Her there. All this will be put in the building account and used for construction work. ' Don't hold money for a long time; don't think of money all the time. Money will come and go. Mother said 'don't fall in the maya of money. I will give you whatever you need. Don't tell lies for money. Don't do wrong deeds for money. Many people commit atrocities for money. This world is based on money. "Dhanam moolam idam jagat". Wherever you in this world, you will find money only. He does anything for wealth; wealth is not only money. It could be any valuable item or property. "

" Maya is the main Goddess for these three desires. It will rub one or other on you and disturb your peace. When Narada became a woman, maya showed "dareshana" and "putreshana". He forgot that he was Narada. He was conquered by maya, became a girl, went behind a man and had a family. Maya is so powerful. Mother is the opposite of Maya! "

" Narada speaks about Mother. When She was a little girl. 'Mother, You came only to destroy maya. Wherever you are present, maya will not be there. It will move away.' Even a person with maximum desires will gradually lose his desires if he worships Her. Our neighbors aged 40-50 years are devoted to Mother since childhood. They did not even marry. They stay in a room and do tapasya. They cook something, offer to Krishna first and then eat. They don't come out of their rooms; they don't speak to anybody. One must have solitude and incessant Radha dhyana. If journey towards inwardness is also present, maya will vanish. 'Daivihyesha gunamayi mama maya durutyaya mameva ye prapadyathe mayametham taranthithe' . 'Whoever is constantly thinking about me, maya will not affect them.' Constant contemplation on Mother will keep maya away. Whenmaya is not there, sorrow is not there. Then everything will be good and positive. "

" Practice inward journey. Continue that journey; forget this world. Gradually you must move in that direction. It will still be with no sound or form. You will reach the state beyond name and form. In that stillness, think of Mother's bhava., Radha bhava. Mother is present in that stillness. Think of Her bhava. There are three important points -inward journey, peaceful and still atmosphere and thinking of Mother. All the three must happen together. When these three are present, maya will not be thee. Just saying 'Mother Radhe Radhe' is enough. Once you move inwards, you will find thoughtless silence. You must have Her darshan there. Not with name or form but in bhava! 'Mother is here now. She is near me.' Contemplate on her with this bhava. You must have awareness that Mother is with you. That awareness is essential, not name and form."

In this lecture, Nanna explained how the three desires destroy maya. How mahamays pulls him down and stressed on journey inwards., mental silence and contemplation on mother. Whether he gives a lecture or talks to us, his aim is to hand over incessant Radha dhyana and lead us to Mother. 'Don't touch money; don't think of money; it will come and go. That si what Mother said.' Nanna became Mother and spoke these words. He cautioned us against maya saying She will give us whatever we want. He is indeed giving us whatever we need. He openly decalred 'Sadhana means to achieve. You must achieve victory. When the evil powers within you rise during dhyana, you must suppress them. I am giving you the power to suppress them. Take it.' There is nothing that he can't give us. He is giving us whatever we need to reach Her holy feet.

" When we worship the all pervading Mother, our mind becomes thoughtless. Man's mind must see the all pervading Mother. Once he sees Her, the mind will become still. It must move about and go back towards Her. The mid is not focused when it is wandering. Shakespeare said 'the rolling stones gather no moss'. If a boulder remains in one place, moss is formed. If the stone is rolling, moss cannot be formed. Hence stay away from maya and so that it does not touch you. We must always divert our mind towards Mother. Where is Mother? She is within you. When you are constantly thinking that Mother is with you, you are not away from Her; then She will certainly be with you. Mother likes dhyana very much. "

" Whoever does incessant dhyana can attain Her easily. Her kingdom is dhyana. She is moving in dhyana rajya. Avoid unnecessary talk, unnecessary roaming and unwanted thoughts. Try to be in solitude most of the time. I am planning to construct four rooms to create the atmosphere of solitude for dhyana. There will be 16 devotees in each batch of dhyana yoga. Mother likes dhyana. Move inwards. When you obtain thoughtless mind, contemplate on Her bhava. That is the order. If you maintain inwardness, it is very peaceful. Do not think of Her name. She is already present there. Think of Her bhava. Practice in this way. I will continue the last lecture for two more days. I will cover another aspect tomorrow. Remember the four importantpoints that I mentioned. Do dhyana regularly. "

'Nannagaru, will we attain the state of weeping due to separation from Her?'

" Yes. You will weep due to being away from Her. What is sadhana? It is not reading books; doing japa or tapa; visiting temples or pilgrimages. Then what is sadhana. When you move towards God, rajoguna obstructs you with desire and anger. Basically man has deha bhava - the illusion that 'I am this body'. The body is made up of three modes (gunas) - sattwa, rajo and tamo gunas. The gita said 'Kama eva krodha eva rajoguna samudbhavaha'. Anger and desire together became rajoguna. As rajoguna resides in our body, anger and desire are present. The three modes are filled in everybody's body. So, every minute in sadhana, you have the bhava that 'Ii am this body'. When man is moving upwards in dhyana, the low lying anger and desire obstruct him and prevent him from going higher. Every great sage who did severe penance fell only due to his desire. Vishwamitra desired Menaka and Sakuntala was born. He wanted to leave the child in Sage Kanva's ashram where tigers, deer and cows were eating together. There, the living beings with such conflicting nature sat together and lived with affection and not enmity. This was the first time he ever saw such a scene. He was surprised. Generally one would never see a tiger and cow or deer together because of their opposite nature. But here, they were happily eating together. He realized that some supreme power is present there and left Sakuntala in his ashram. "

" Sadhana is not reading books, doing japa and tapa, going to pilgrimages, helping the needy or even doing dharma. Sadhna literally means to achieve. What must you achieve? The rajoguna within you will activate; then anger and desire will rise. Once they rise, your sadhana and tapasya will be disturbed. You must suppress anger and desire by self control. This inner battle is the real sadhana. When rajo and tamo gunas rise, you must suppress them. Everyone faces this problem but they can be controlled by sadhana. Conquer the gunas. Now you can understand what sadhana is! "

" You may read some books and do some japa. Both are not sadhana. When you do dhyana yoga, anger and desire within your body will rise and your penance will stop. It will pull you down. That's what happened to Vishwamitra. Sadhana means suppressing anger and desire. Sadhana means inwardness. You must externally suppress the anger and desire within you. This is the inner battle. You must emerge victorious over anger and desire. "

Nanna said that during sadhana, rajoguna will increase within you and anger and desire will rise. You must suppress them because they will disturb you. Sadhana means inwardness. Vishwamitra became an introvert but he met Menaka and fell. So many people faced this fate. Anger and desire must be suppressed. Only one er ca do this - Hladini sakthi. This is the opposite of anger and desire. Radha Devi is the manifestation of Hladini sakthi. We must worship Radhaji only.

Nanna explained the obstacles faced by the sadhakas and the inner battle taking place. Most of us worship with flowers, do rituals, visit pilgrimages. We think this is spiritual sadhana. Nanna bluntly said that this is not sadhana. When we close our eyes to do dhyana on Her, the inner battle begins. All sorts of thoughts come to the mind. Dhyana will not progress. This is evrybody's experience. Nanna said that it is inevitable that everybody faces inner battle and told us the way to do sadhana. While making such statements, Nanna infuses some kind of power in you. The unobtrusive help by Nanna is only making us move in the path of rasa and increases our love towards Radha. 'We must win this inner battle. We must attain victory.' Radhasakhi always includes himself with us and instills confidence and strength in us.
