SRI RADHASAKHI'S LOVE
7.3.2003, 7 A.M., Guntur Ashram

I went to Nanna in the morning. Malathi (a devotee) returned from America the previous day and came directly to Guntur. He blessed her after Gurupoornima in 2002 when she was about to leave for America saying, "Mother will give you a gift." Within ten days she began to write verses in Hindi regarding Sri Radha and Radhasakhi's tattva.

By the time I reached the Ashram, Nanna was very elated. Anjani Amma, Sekhar, Rishi garu were listening to the verses that she was reading aloud.

The love showered on us by Nanna always appears new. It is more intense and sweeter as we experience it. With the pleasure of being in Nanna's presence we all listened to her verses.

Sakhi muh se Radha boli ……

'Radha speaks from the mouth of Sakhi'. Mother only speaks sweet words filled with Rasa from the Sakhi's mouth…'. As she explained the verse, Nanna exclaimed "Ah! Ah!"

Sakhi sangat mein Radha padagati

'Rasikas find the way to reach Radha's feet only in the presence of Sakhi'.

"Sakhi Radha ras prem ki moorat

Karam dharma ki upar viharat"

'Sakhi's tattva lies above karma and dharma' she explained.

" Very nice, very pleasant. You have given me so much pleasure today. You gave me nectar. "

'This is all given by you, Nanna'

" Who wrote this? Who wrote all these songs? "

Mother's Sakhi wrote them Nanna!

'Oh!' Nanna said with an exquisite bhava in his tone.

Sakhi will drench everyone in Radha prem ras, without any discrimination. Sakhi only will take you to Sri Nikunj. So, seek shelter at the feet of Sakhi

As she explained the meaning of the verse, Nanna asked me also to learn everything.Nanna said with full of bhava.

" Mother will come if you both sing together. She will dance, Ah! What literature. Sakhi literature is so great "

Sakhi drenches the world of rasa with the flow of rasa. Sakhi is Radha's reflection.

" Ah! It is like nectar. Even nectar will be insipid compared to these songs "

" Saying this he went into a state of Radha bhava. "

The next evening, Malathi who was literally drowning in the sweetness of his love said, 'Nanna, I feel like calling you 'Mother'. He looked deep within her with a loving smile and said,

" I want to call you 'Sakhi'. Do you like it? "

She was overwhelmed by this great fortune! In this way Nanna, the Radhasakhi told us that only the path of Sakhi pleases Sri Radharani.

After sometime, Nanna asked me "Who are you?"

"I am myself"

"I am myself"

" 'I' means everything. 'I' encompasses the whole earth. So which part of the 'I' are you"

Nanna asked. We had no answer.

" It is easy to learn Radha's love but it is very difficult to learn Sakhi's love. Please note that Radhika's love can be learnt but learning Radhasakhi's love is impossible. It is very difficult."

'Nanna, Sakhi worships Mother. Then how is it easy to learn Mother's love but difficult to learn Radhasakhi's love?' I asked astonished.

" It is very difficult! Mother accepts love whereas a Sakhi gives love. Mother only accepts!"

" In one leela, Mother is inside a kunj, Krishna is waiting outside and Lalita sakhi is between them. She does not allow Krishna to enter. Radha comes near her, holds her chin and pleads with her to allow him to enter. From this leela, you must understand what their positions are! It is beyond us to understand that Kingdom. Lalita Sakhi initially came as a maid near Radha. See how she ascended and what her position is now."

He then asked me to sing a song composed by him.(Na prana pranama…)

I cannot live without you even for a moment, my beloved.

You came down to the world as a Sakhi

You lived in the world as a Sakhi.

The above stanza composed by Radhasakhi addressing Mother is applicable to Radhasakhi also.

Radhasakhi, the attribute of sweetness of Sri Radha's love came to this world as Nanna and showed her inherent qualities of a Sakhi every moment. She lived in this world and showed what a Radhasakhi really is! However much we see or praise the loving Radhasakhi is not enough.

Even if I have tongues on my whole body, I cannot praise you enough

Nanna, even if I have tongues all over my body, it is not possible for me to praise you, your innumerable good qualities, your inherent love towards man and your virtuous welfare activities for mankind! Grant me the fortune to practice what you preach and follow you.

You are my loving one You are my aspiration You are my Ruler

Nanna, you are the divine loving form who will lead us to the holy feet of Sri Radha. Only by seeking your shelter, we can enter Mother's Kingdom. So, you are our protégé and our Master.

'Accept us as your loving Sakhis, Nanna', I thought in my mind as I sang the song. Nanna suddenly sat upright and said,

" The love in Mother's Kingdom will not wither. It will not fade. It will only increase day by day. That is the specialty of Her kingdom. Today's love is greater than yesterday's, tomorrow's will be greater than today's. That is Anukshana vardhamanam (increasing every moment). That love is like that, without any gunas and desires. It is love without any expectations. I simply cannot stop loving. To love is my only desire. I am not affected by nature. It is not like the love of this world "

Nanna said with tears of Sri Radha bhava. After some time Nanna asked us

" I want you to promise me something. Mother will take me back some day! Will you forget me? "

Even before he could complete the sentence, Malathi exclaimed 'Oh Nanna, even if we lose our life……….' Nanna repeated, "If I leave……………" 'How will we live by forgetting you Nanna? How can we live? You have established such a bond!' He remained silent for a while.

" We should travel the entire country and propagate about Mother. I will purchase an 8-seater vehicle. Installing Mother's idol actually means installing Her in the heart. It is not enough to merely install Her idol. She must be installed in everyone's heart. "

Sekhar said 'You said you would tour entire India, Nanna'. "Yes. Her tattwa should be propogated everywhere. As soon as people hear about Mother, they will come to you". 'Nanna, can myself, Sekhar and Malathi also accompany you?'

" I planned to buy an 8 seater vehicle with that idea only "

" My real form is within me. That real I cannot live without you. "

Only now we are realizing a little about you, that too with your grace. We could not understand anything earlier'.

Talking about the song 'Na prana pranama, he said:

" Now I am revealing the fact that I did not eat for three days. Due to the pain of separation from Mother, I did not feel hungry. I sang this song in that condition. "

" She created you all and handed over to me. She placed me in your hands. Let me tell you a strange incident. (Pointing to me) When she came to see me the first time, she cried loudly. Why? (Looking at me) You returned to your near one after so many lives. That is why you cried like that? "

In the meanwhile a devotee (Padmagaru) came from Hyderabad. Draped in the saree and adorned with a flower brought by her, Nanna was glowing in the decoration of a Sakhi

" What does 'Swamini' mean? "

'Husband', Sekhar replied.

" That is why I told you'll not to marry? Who is your Swamini? In Sakhi culture, there is a hidden aspect. She is the Swamini; Mother is Swamini. She is not only Sakhi, but also Swamini. She plays two roles."

'Nanna, that means Mother is both Sakhi as well as Swamini'

" Yes, Mother is our Sakhi. She is our Swamini too; She has to play both the roles. It is very difficult"

'Nanna, what does Swamini mean?' Anjani Amma asked.

" 'Swami' is the term used for a man (husband). 'Swamini' is used for a woman?' "

" In one song I wrote that She is my pati (husband) and my gati (means and end). She is both. How did I address Her when I said I cannot live without Her? "

You said you cannot live without 'Priya'

" Does 'Priya' refer to a man or a woman? "

'You have used a term 'Priya' for Mother which is commonly used for a man.'

" Yes. I have done so deliberately. 'I cannot live even for a moment without you, my beloved, my 'Priya'. Only with the word Priya, there is embracing, not for any other word, "

Anjani Amma said 'The word 'embracing' comes in one more song Nanna. In this song you wrote that Sakhi also would embrace. 'You give darshan in the form of a Sakhi, treat me with kindness and embrace me'

" That embracing is different. They (Sakhis) cannot live for a moment away from Mother. When Sitadevi was in the forest, Kakasura (a demon) bit her on the breast. Because Hanuman was her Sakhi, she told him about this incident. The word 'Priya' was used in that context. He saw Sita's wound and wept. "

" Are you experiencing that bhava? Priya bhava is very profound. It refers to 'Priya' used in divine romance (shringar), not in this trash world. This bhava is implied in saying 'cannot live without you'. Love reaches the highest peak and finally falls in Her lap "

Nanna said experiencing the bliss of Sakhi bhava.

Nanna told Padmagaru, "After I go near Mother, I will take a few people. You are one among them." Nanna said. She was elated extremely.

" Do not follow anyone else. You have only one beloved who will look like 'Mother' but is a man. A beloved who looks like Her; who is dressed like Her. Then how should you behave with Her? How will you feel if your beloved touches your cheeks in the appearance of Mother? That is real love! That is Divine love. There are no worldly strings attached to it "

Anjani Amma said 'But that state should be obtained here only'.

" That bhava will not come in this world. You must attain such a state of heart to match the bhava that you have a beloved whom you cannot leave even for a moment! (Nanna wept with intense emotion as he said these words). "

" She was rightly addressed as 'Swamini' in the Patna Conference. Some ancient scriptures also mention that 'Radha is Swamini'. The head of the Sanskrit Peeth Prof. Baladev Upadhyay, a great Pandit (scholar) also agreed that Radha is Swamini. "

" Mother left Her dham as a Sakhi; She came down on earth as a Sakhi and remained as a sakhi only. She does not accept in any other way - only as a Sakhi.(a dearest companion). If it is not possible for me to come with you in the physical form, I will come as a shadow. There is no objection for shadow. I will remain as your shadow but will not leave you. "

" No one named Mother. Krishna worships Her (Aradhana), that's why She became Radha. Vedas say "Krishnena aradhyateti Radha'. Because of his Aradhana She is Radha. Lord Vishnu and Krishna may have some limitations but there is nothing that She cannot do. We can cite the story of Sati Devi as an example. "

" Mother is the origin of all Krishna leelas. She initiates the leelas and he exhibits them. "

" You cannot marry with Sakhi bhava within you. Mother will not agree to this. So you must decide whether your goal is towards Mother or the world. "

After some time, Nanna spoke about his forthcoming book 'Rasa Brindavan'.

" Mother said that She will provide the material for that book in Brindavan; hence not to write here (in Guntur). She told that there are many books lying in the old almirahs in some ashrams in Brindavan. She will arrange those books for us. "

I asked Nanna whether I would have the fortune of writing the book.

" You will definitely write that book. There is plenty of literature in 4-5 almirahs. All that material will be lost along with Sri Kishori Sharan Aliji. She wants us to preserve that literature by writing this book. She fears that all the material will vanish with him. She told me this Herself. "

What can I say about Sri Radhasakhi's love? How to understand it? Even the great poets have no words to describe the infinite divine love of Radhasakhi.

Speaking about Malathi's verses, Nanna said 'If both of you sing together, Mother will come and dance'. Both Mother's love and Sakhi's love are at such an elevated plane that it is difficult to understand. Nanna clearly told that Sakhi's love is very profound and cannot be understood.

Nanna asked whether we would forget him when Mother takes him back. By saying these words in March, Nanna indicated that he would soon be giving up human vesture and going to Mother. Moreover, the people through whom he wanted Sri Radha Rasa tattva to be propagated (Anjani Amma, myself, Sekhar and Malathi) were all present there. He spoke as if he wanted our promise that we would not forget him and would never leave the path of rasa. Hence, he disclosed his desire to purchase an 8 seater vehicle, travel all over the country and propagate Radha Tattva. Just as we cannot forget him, he too cannot forget us. He indicated this through his words -"The real me cannot live without you".

Nanna, my heart is overwhelmed with your love. You are the confidential Sakhi of Sri Radha - the ruler of 14 worlds and we are ordinary mortals. What is your stature and what is ours? Yet you say you cannot live without us. You shower such divine love Nanna.

Saying "She created you all and handed over to me", he asked Sekhar to find out why I wept when I met him for the first time. We both are blessed by this love. That day Nanna clearly stated that I belonged to him.

'Mother is our Swamini, our Sakhi, our beloved'. In a state of Rasa he explained the divine love between the human being and Mother. Soon again he jested with us like our companion!!

I wish to say something about Sri Radhasakhi's love but am unable to do so. No words seem adequate and no sentence appears complete. Nanna, your love matches only with Sri Radha's love.
