Mahatmas impart divine knowledge through their actions and behaviour. Their uniqueness is not due to what they preach but due to implementing whatever they preach. That is quality of ancient culture. Sri Hitacharya handed over his life to the world in the form of a book titled 'Sri Radhasudhanidhi'. Nanna, Radhasakhi who considers Rasa as his very life has been magnanimously distributing this rasa of love to the human beings.

People who are suffering from various ailments cannot respond positively towards spiritual lectures. Even if they do come to listen, they will not be in a receptive mood. Therefore the content will not register in their mind. Initially Nanna traveled all over the country and disseminated information on Radha tattva. Later he thought

Let Mother choose the deserving ones and send them to me

Thinking that Mother will select those who possess the urge to move on the path of Rasa and send them to him, he reduced his touring to a great extent. He realized the presence of a unique power in him. Otherwise why were people attracted towards him? When he questioned Mother about this, She granted him a rare gift - he could provide relief to the people suffering from the spell of astral ailments. He could have vision of the astral world, as well as travel in that world! He could remove the suffering of the people by a mere touch. By granting him such powers, Mother gave the world a glimpse of who Radhasakhi is! Nanna possessed these powers since 1940-41. With passage of time, their intensity and effectiveness was enhanced by Her. With the divine powers attained by the grace of Radhaji, Nanna attracted the people towards him, relieved them from their suffering first and then only preached them. He always preached that practicing rasa is the only way for man's upliftment and Dhyana is the only means to this end. He treated everyone who approached him with affectionate love. His mere appearance and a single glance automatically drew the people towards him.

Nanna's life is very peculiar and significant. It is very difficult to understand the depth of his life. Suppose two persons approached him with the same complaint, he used to deal with one person sensitively and giving suitable suggestions. He used to warn the second person for his wrong practices. Someone who is present on both these occasions is totally confused. He was so enigmatic. But the real fact is that he has 'inner vision'. He sees 'through' the person (not 'at' the person) and then acts accordingly. We can only perceive the exterior appearance, not inner self. Therefore, it was generally not easy to understand him(Nanna). One can understand him at least a little only by imposing total confidence and irrevocable faith in him. Over a period of time, he will enable the person to slowly realize about him. This is what I practically experienced.

To the extent possible Nanna helped the people who approached him with the desire to obtain Mother's grace. He also provided relief to those who were suffering from spell of witchcraft and sought his shelter. He helped both these types of people. He even helped strangers. Once Nanna said, "Nobody can understand the mystic play of Radha and Krishna". The same applies to Radhasakhi too! The following words of Nanna are our 'Mahamantra' in this context:

Don't compare my life with any other life in the whole world. My life is peculiar and singular

Sri Babu Reddy, who had a vision of the Gods worshipping the Radhasakhi with flowers, came to visit Nanna in 1956(from Srikakulam). 'Nannagaru, I recently had a heart stroke. I am plagued with the fear that I will die without having a darshan of my favorite deity - Hanumanji. I came here with the hope that a fully accomplished spiritual personality like you will be able to fulfill my desire', he pleaded with and prayed to Nanna and became blessed.

Lord Hanuman is the supreme guru in the seva marg (path). Nanna described the cosmic contact he had with the Lord:

Within a couple of days, with the help of Radha Mahalakshmi Devi, I could establish contact with Sri Hanumanji who was performing penance in the Himalayas with a radiantly shining form. He assured that he would certainly grant darshan to his devotee in his present dazzling form but would not stay for more than a minute or two.

Hanumanji had indicated that he would come at noon time. We placed a photo of the Lord and made Babu Reddy sit in the opposite room. Exactly at noon, as told by the Lord, a divine radiant light sparked in the room. The very next moment Babu Reddy exclaimed 'Hanumanji' and fainted. He regained consciousness at 10 P.M. 'Nannagaru, with your blessings, I could have a darshan of my God', he saluted.

Hanumanji gave darshan to Babu Reddy not in the typical monkey form but as a divine radiant light. My Goddess told me that he is performing penance in the Himalayas in this form.

Sri Radha Sudhanidhi, the divine book says that innumerable supernatural powers lie at the feet of Radhasakhi. This is one of those many powers exhibited by Radhasakhi. Nanna's life was always glowing with divinity, divine support and supernatural powers.Nanna once said..

The bhajan of the formless is very powerful. You can attain unbelievable powers through meditation on the all-pervading Mother's formless aura. I have attained power in this way. I could accomplish what mere mortals cannot. This is not my greatness but Supreme Mother's grace. By looking at a person once, I can know his inner self. I speak to the cosmic element within him and then plan how to draw his attention towards Mother. I don't like leave even a single human being.

Not liking to leave behind a single person! Who else but the Mother of all worlds, the Jaganmata, can have such love? This clearly shows that Nanna is the form of Radha's infinite love, which is truly no different from Mother!!

What can be said about such a kind and considerate person? Any amount said seems less! I know nothing else but to think of you and your infinite love and attempt to write about you, that too with your support!
|
Due to the power obtained by incessant meditation, Nanna witnessed several Gods, infact even the Ruler of Rasa Loka, Sri Radha Devi. Many gods visited him and offered their prayers. Babu Reddy garu was fortunate to have this vision. Due to his astral vision, Nanna saw many people moving in their world after death. He spoke to some, gave mantra deeksha to some and gave them shelter in his ashram in the astral world. He also gave mantra deeksha to some Gods!

He spoke about one of the cases that he dealt with when he served as PA to DEO in Guntur during 1952 - 53.

By the grace of my Mother, Sri Radha Devi, I attained the power to travel in the astral world and visit the soul there. Once a few people came to our ashram and told their piteous story. Just thinking of it makes me shiver. One of them was an aged person. He said, 'for almost 4-5 generations, the eldest son in our family invariable dies when he grows up. Now my son is unwell. Please save us. Kindly grant me my son's life'. I saw the head of the family in dhyana. In this sojourn I saw the ascent and descent of human beings. I identified the person who is the root cause of all these deaths. When I asked him why he was performing such cruel acts, he replied, 'Swami! About 400 years back I was working as a government employee. I went to the village of this family on official duty. Their ancestors were head of the village and I stayed in their house. I had about 200 gold coins with me. While I was bathing, 2 or 3 coins slipped and fell down. The wife of the headman saw the coins. She showed so much affection on me and requested me to stay there for the night. At midnight, the couple came near me while I was asleep, pressed an iron bar against my neck and killed me. They dug a pit in the kitchen and buried me. Thus I was forcibly killed by them. Since then, I seek revenge by killing the eldest of their family in the last four generations. What is my mistake?

I said, 'My son! Their ancestors committed a crime, no doubt. But is it correct to punish the later generations who are innocent? Why do you inflict pain on this person owing to death of his son? He is a devotee of Krishna and he came into my shelter. If I must save him, I must use my powers to drive you far away, beyond anyone's reach and imprison you. But you seem to be a good person. I will make them serve you to your satisfaction. If you desire, I will also grant you 'mantra deeksha'. Pardon them. It is your duty to do so! For how long will you kill the innocent in the form of a ghost? Since your name is Gopalakrishna, I will grant you Krishna Mantra. Do you agree?'

Then he said, 'I will show you the place where I was buried. If you dig there, you will find my skeleton and bones. Let their family members bring those to you so that you can purify it with your touch and later immerse them in the holy Ganga River at Kasi. Later, in your presence, they must feed many people. They should also take mantra deeksha like me.' I called the troubled family members and told them the entire episode. They gladly did what Gopala Krishna desired. The sick boy became healthy. I gave Krishna Mantra to Gopala Krishna in his ghost form. This occurred about 45 years ago. I noticed his sincerity to do penance and arranged a congenial environment for him.

To this day, he participates in all ceremonies and dances with passion. You may neglect a speech, but he doesn't miss even a single one. On 6.9.2000, Radhashtami he came to Ravali and served Mother with his songs and dance! He attended the Dhyana Yoga Saptaha at Guntur during 30.12.01 to 5.1.2002 and listened to all the lectures. He who would have been a ghost became a 'Mahatma'

Thus Nanna described how he uplifted one human being (even after death).

Nanna took Mahalakshmi amma as a medium and relieved several people suffering from physical ailments, witchcraft or spell of spirits. He explained the all-pervading tattva of God which is beyond form, name and the three gunas. He told them that 'Radha' is not merely a name or form but a manifestation of the infinite, all-pervading Rasa tattva citing relevant parts of the Vedas. Every syllable that Nanna uttered emerged from his own experience and feelings. Therefore, the devotees who approached him also have great experiences unknown to them.

His pious decision and determination to take up welfare activities is very laudable. It is irrelevant whether the persons are acquainted with him or not. With his all-pervading nature, Radhasakhi can easily discern the condition of a person anywhere in the world - whether he is in a state of yearning for God or not. Thinking of the love he has for us and how he tried to uplift persons whom he never even met brings tears in my eyes. Meeting a person is only an apparent physical phenomenon. With his deep and discerning sight, he sees within the person and does whatever is possible. The astonishing incident that I am about to narrate is one such kind. Nanna elevated so many people. Some of them do not even know who he is and what he did for them. Yet he does not bother. He helps them with his heartful love and is engaged in drawing their attention towards Mother.

On July 25, 2003 Nanna came from Brindavan by train reaching Guntur on 26th. When we (I, Sekhar and Sriranga) went to see him, he was so tired that we returned without disturbing him. Neither did we speak to him nor did he see us. We do not know for what great purpose, with what planning for our welfare, he traveled all the way in such a weak condition. The apparent reasons are different from the actual thoughts in his mind.

We three returned feeling bad that we could not even go near him and say 'Radhe Radhe'. Suddenly Sekhar said that he has to go to a place nearby (Sattenapalli) and return back immediately. Sri Ranga spontaneously decided that we would go together and the car proceeded in that direction. All three of us could sense that this trip from Guntur to Sattenapalli is only by the intention of Nanna. It was drizzling on the way. We were performing Sankeertan - 'Sri Radhe Jaya Radhe Jaya Jaya Radhe'. Four children aged 7-8 years were waiting at the bus stop. Sri Ranga picked them up. The children also joined in our Sankeertan enthusiastically. Sri Ranga gave them chocolates. I told them the story of the young devotee Rehman. Before they left we told them to chant 'Radhe Radhe' everyday. Saying 'Radhe Radhe' they got down the car. After we reached Sattenapalli and completed the work, we went to see an old lady who stays beside our house. When we reached there, we found that her daughter (Savitri) aged 40 years was seriously ill. When see saw her, we understood that she would not live long. I sat beside her and told her about Radharani and Nanna. Sri Ranga said 'Keep chanting Radhe Radhe in your mind. You will feel better'. We sang Nanna's sankeertan for some time. I wrote the verse 'Kaisoradhbuta……' from Radhasudhanidhi and told her to request someone to read it aloud everyday. We soon returned back.

Since that day, Savitri began to tell everyone who came to see her about Radha Rani and Nanna. Though she was so ill, Savitri uttered Radha's name constantly in one way or other from July 26th to August 10th. On 10th I received a call that her condition was critical. We went to the hospital to see her. We were told that she was totally speechless since two days and could not take food. Her end was very near. As soon as we called her, she opened her eyes and recognized us. She smiled and said 'Radhe Radhe'. We sang Mother's name for sometime and got up to leave. We just reached the door when we heard her loud scream 'Mother Radha'. All of us were shocked. It was impossible to believe that she who could not utter a syllable since two days could shout so loudly. Within a short while, she passed away. So surprising! A person who never knew about Radha devi and Her leelas, spent all her time only in Her dhyana during the last 15 days of her life. How is this possible? Whose leela is this?

It is crystal clear that this is the leela, the mystic play of Radhasakhi whose main aim is elevating the state of the human beings. Though he did not see us on 26th, though we did not speak to him, he elevated Savitri through us in an incredible way. We don't know what he saw in her! She never saw Nanna! Yet she obtained his grace. This proves yet again that Nanna's love has no bounds.

We know how Savitri spent her last 15 days, how she shouted for Mother and how she was blessed by Radhasakhi. We do not know how Nanna is transforming those four boys who traveled in the car on that day! There is no doubt that the trip that day materialized only by his will. He always mentioned about manifested and unmanifested leelas. While Savitri represents the manifested leela , the children represent the unmanifested, invisible leela.

I reached the ashram a little late. I placed a rose in Nanna's hand saying 'Radhe Radhe Nanna'. As soon as he saw me, he stretched both hands and held me saying 'Mani, na Mani (my Mani). A few devotees (Sarada, Sitamahalakshmi garu, Satya and Nikhila) were also present.

Nanna lovingly said ...

You are my Mani (Jewel). Hence I removed the 'ga' from Nagamani and made you 'Mani'
"

'Nanna, last night I heard you saying 'Radhe Radhe' from within me. It was your voice speaking from within me'.

Yes. I came last night

I am overwhelmed. Nanna's love is drenching us as if by a spectacular waterfall. It is certain that he looks after his devotees every moment. He infuses love into their cosmic entity and strengthens them.
|
By then Nanna had his tiffin. Yet when I offered him the snack (upma) which I brought, he sat upright. He ate a little and complemented my cooking.
|
I know fully well how the food item became tasty! Radhasakhi offers anything to Mother with absolute bhava and then only eats it. Then She accepts his offering. The glance of the Supreme Mother and touch of Her Sakhi impart taste to any food item. If Nanna tastes even a little of what we offer, we feel elated.
|
Srimati Ghantasala Sitamahalakshmi garu , the daughter of Sri Pingali Venkayya garu who designed our national flag narrated an incredible incident wherein Nanna showered so much love in her life.

In 1996 one lady in Macherla went to Sitamahalakshmi garu, informed about Nanna and gave her 'Sri Radha Manasa tantram'. Since then she reads the 1000 names of Sri Radha daily.

When I went to Macherla, Sarada arranged my talk which Sitamahalakshmi garu also attended.
|
'I received Nanna garu's grace and blessings through your talk. He realized my desire to know more about him and sent you to fulfill my desire. Your talk about Nanna garu and Radharani influenced everyone present here'. She said happily.

She was so sick that she was unable to even swallow food. She sent a small letter to Nanna through Sarada. He listened to the letter and sent his reply by recorded tape. She said happily.

My dearest Mother, Sitamahalakshmi. Do not be attached to any object. Have attachment only towards Brindavan Radha. Through incessant dhyana of Radhaji, all karmas will be removed. Even Krishna, the Lord of Lords pines for rasa. Mother gave Her Sakhis the authority to distribute this rasa. One devotee said 'I don't want God. I want only rasa.' Such a rasa is following in your heart. That is enough.

This is the precise content of Nanna's graceful message to her. He sent a banana as prasad along with the tape.

She wrote a letter to me saying 'Nanna shall speak to me through the cassette till I breathe my last breath. I was in a state that I could not swallow anything. Yet I ate the banana sent by him along with the skin! I spoke to him the next day. He asked me "What do you want?" I requested for peaceful death. He said "come to Guntur. I will grant you whatever you wish". The most astonishing fact is that though I was not in a position to move about in my house, I started for Guntur. I cannot describe my experience when I bowed at his holy feet. He placed his hand on my head for almost 15 minutes. He made me drink a glass of milk with pepper and sugar as if he were feeding a little child. He told me to stay in the ashram for the night and drink another glass of milk the following morning. He granted me 'mantra' the next day and also gave me the 5th volume of 'Brindavaneswari Sri Radha devi'' after signing in the book.

Ever since I received his blessings, I gradually recovered and regained my health. I listen to the cassette daily and then chant Mother's name. Chinnari Radha grants me Her darshan in so many ways.

Great persons do not die. Sri Nanna garu is the pious and extremely kind personality who has installed Radha in every life and he himself transformed into Radha. He is the emperor of Her great Kingdom ; he is a little child in Her lap. Nanna's words are the guide for us all.

Nanna's grace did not end here. On 24.8.2004, I rang up at 10.15 Hrs. to inform that I received her letter. She narrated how Nanna is still showering his grace upon her even after leaving the mortal frame:

'I am experiencing his presence regularly. As long as I chant the mantra, he is sitting in a chair before me. In January, 2004 my daughter became very ill. The blood was clotting everywhere. The doctors gave up hope. I sent Radha manasa tantram and told her to read it everyday. She did so sincerely. One night she closed all the doors and slept. When she opened her eyes, an elderly person was sitting in a chair. She asked 'I closed all doors. How could you enter?'. He replied

I can enter anywhere! Doors and walls cannot obstruct me

After this incident, my daughter miraculously became healthy.
|
Nanna left this world six months before this incident. Only he can come from nowhere. There is no doubt about this. That is his love. He did not want me to suffer at this age with the agony of losing my child. Therefore, he personally treated her. How can I repay such an embodiment of love?

That is Nanna! This is one of the innumerable, incredible powers possessed by him. What is more significant than powers is his love. He blessed everyone who came to him and even those who never knew him. In fact any human being who comes into his notice is uplifted with his love. Treating illnesses and relieving from troubles are apparently visible. While doing so, he studies the inner self, invisibly and imperceptibly works within them and gradually draws them to the path of Radha rasa. He accomplishes the welfare activities assigned by Mother effortlessly and untiringly in a manner filled with rasa.
