Amma's Words

Whenever Nannagaru, the embodiment of love gave a speech, he invariably touched the topic of dhyana yoga and stressed that dhyana is the only unique path to reach Mother. In the previous 13 volumes of this book we have been reading about dhyana. Yet Nanna told us about dhyana and how to do dhyana in a different way with a different bhava each and every time. We cannot define love. Sri Radha is the rasa power of that love. Nanna clearly stated that we can reach Her only through dhyana.

In the 14th volume of this book, Nanna explained about the dhyana method and the experience of the jeeva in dhyana state and wonderfully linked his own experiences to reassure us 'Mother is with me. I am in Her sight. When you do dhyana with this bhava, unknowingly a desperate yearning is awakened and you feel like weeping. You cannot speak. You weep with the bhava that you left Mother and came away from Her.' Thus Nanna described the state of dhyana. Having experienced the bliss of dhyana, he was eager that all of us must reach Mother through dhyana. That is why he often stressed only on dhyana.

When Sabari met her guru Matanga Maharshi he assured her that Rama will certainly come near her. She firmly believed her guru and waited eagerly with Rama bhava. 'My Rama will certainly come; I will have his darshan.' Her yearning was not with his form but with his bhava!

The 14 years of Rama's exile in the forest is not for him to suffer! He came directly to Sabari's ashram to uplift her, knowing her yearning for his arrival. 'Rama ! you have come! Your love is infinite. I also wish to experience your infinite divine love and remain in that love.' She fed him with fruits in this sweet bhava. The Lord ate the fruit offered by her and granted her with the blissful experience of rasa. Rama bhava means Radha bhava. There is no difference. That bhava touched Sabari and she fell into the Lord's arms!

This 14th volume is also as significant as Rama's 14 years exile. Devotees like Sabari yearned for the Lord and reached him. In the same way, as we do dhyana, as we yearn for Her, Mother will grant rasa and take us to Her rasa kingdom. Nanna did incessant dhyana, experienced Radha dhyana rasa and handed it to us. Nanna's words that dhyana is the only path to reach Mother are indeed like Vedas. Nanna often quoted a Mahatma's sentence -Sri Radha is very kind. She will grant Her darshan to the devotees only through dhyana).

This volume was written with the speeches from cassettes collected from so many people. Rasamani carefully listened to the cassettes and compiled this book. I pray that she should always have the blessings of our guru Sri Radhasakhi.
