SRI RADHA IN THE VEDAS

Radha Krishna Mandir, Secunderabad, February 2001

On the occasion of Bheeshma ekadasi, Nanna came to RadhaKrishna mandir for three days. The following day, one of his disciples asked whether Chaitanya mahaprabhu disappeared towards the end. Nanna disagreed and then continued with his talk on Radhaji.

" It is not true. Chaitanya's disciples accept him as God. They did not write his life story correctly. Chaitanya actually died and his physical body was buried. His disciples hid this truth . "

" Such a long duration for us is just one day for Mother! No wonder we say that She came down just now. I was not sent. I am an ordinary person. Actually I belong there (in Her world). This was always there, I don't know since when. Mother said that She made what is within me to be written by somebody else! "

'Nanna, belonging there means a sakhi!'

" That's right. Maybe... When I was two years old, I was on the verge of death. My Mother took me outside the house. A great person came and told her that I would become a mahapurusha. Who is he? He declared that I would live a long life and that she would die in my hands! All are true "

'Does he belong to Mother's kingdom?'

" Maybe "

'One who belongs to Her kingdom is a sakhi!'

" He may be a sakhi or a servant "

'He certainly belongs to Her dham!'

" We can assume so. Otherwise how would he know? He did not mention Radhaji's name! "

'Nanna, if he belongs to Her dham, why didn't he mention Her name?'

'Nanna when did you first have Her darshan?'

" Inside. This Mother exists from Dwapara yuga onwards, not before. She is not mentioned in any scriptures "

'Nanna, your experience with Mother. When did you attain bhava towards Her?'

" Since 30-40 years! She came to me as a little girl and asked me to apply oil to Her. Who would apply oil to Her? A man or woman? The next time She came and asked me to adorn Her. The third time, Purushottam das ji came to our ashram and said 'You are a confidential sakhi of Radhaji' since that time, I experienced many leelas in sakhi bhava. I had these qualities since childhood. The other day, I inspired a devotee (Radhika) to place her hand on me. She felt that somebody is chanting Her name 'Radhe Radhe Radhe Radhe' from within me. Again after 2 hours, she put her hand on me, the name was continuing. That means I am taking Her name continuously, without any gap inside me. "

'Nanna, you followed many religious cults before you came toward Krishna. How did you get that bhava?'

" I do not know! Mother came in my dream as a little girl. She asked me to apply oil to Her and to adorn Her. She did not accept the material and peripheral decorations to Her idol. Then I consulted all the mahatmas in Brindavan to tell me what She meant by adorning Her. They said .. "

'Nanna, you said that Goddess kanakadurga gave you mantra. Is she Radharani's sakhi?'

" May be sakhi. Goddess Parvati is also Her attendant. "

'Did she tell you about Mother?'

" She only said that if you continue the mantra regularly, in future a Mother greater than me will come into your life; she did not mention Her name. As she said, Mother came and gave me Her mantra. "

'Nanna, Is it true that mahatma Sisir kumar ghosh saw your 400 years ago with Gauranga..'

" I do not know whether I was a devotee or not. He said that he saw me in their group but I do not know in what capacity. Even if I was his disciple, all those beliefs vanished after reading the Vedas. When Mother pulled me to Her, Chaitanya is no one! Moreover, there is a passage in Chaitanya charitamurtham where Krishna says 'I am sacchidananda. Everybody worships me. I give happiness to all but only Radhaji gives me happiness.' This is Krishna's message to the world. This is true. No wonder, the 60-70 songs which I composed are only on Radha; not a single song is about Krishna. "

" Radhamahalaxmi amma gave her message clearly on Sankranthi that 'he is one of Radha's sakhis' "

Nanna never revealed his true form when we asked him about it. Gradually he showed his original nature by drawing our attention to Radhamahalaxmi's message that 'he is one of Radha's sakhis'.

Though Nanna moved in different spiritual paths initially, he took the Vedas as the authentic source, gradually moved in the path of rasa and since then the sovereign of rasa guided his divine life.

Nanna quoted the Vedas and spoke about Sri Radha's love and incessant dhyana which is so powerful that it can remove karmas and also desires and anger.

" I forgot who I am. I consider that I am that which I am not. This is the root of philosophy. Whatever philosophy says, these two are the main points. Firstly, who are you? The Bhagawad Gita says: "

'Mamaivamso jeevaloke jeeva bhoota sanatanaha'

" You are eternal and infinite parts of me. You are such parts that have neither beginning nor end. You are not someone else; you are a part of me. "

'Eswarah Paramah Krishna Sacchindananda Vigrah ; Anadirgovindah Sarvakarana karanam'

" This is the definition of Krishna, Rama or Allah. You are sacchidananda murthy. I am a part of you. When you are a part of Sacchidananda murthy, why are you in sorrow? Strange! "

" Sat, Chit and Anand! 'Sat' means since eternity. When man exists since eternity, then why do you weep when the astrologer predicts your life span? You forgot that you are an eternal entity that is why, you are weeping. When you realize this fact, you will not cry anymore. 'Chit' - consciousness. 'I do not know this. I must learn about it. I must understand what is beyond this world'. Chit means one who knows everything. He is the conscious form. He is the all knowing one and you are a part of him! Ah! How wonderful. 'Anand': God is the manifestation of happiness. The Lord is Sat, Chit and Anand. "

" Being a part of him, are we truly happy? No. Our happiness is not being sad; there is no other happiness. The Lord is so blissfully happy! Man marries, loses his wife and weeps. He brought this grief upon himself. Initially he was happy. He invited this grief and lost his happiness. That is your grief. "

" When your life becomes your sadhana there is only happiness, no grief at all. I want only the Divine Mother. If you want peace sometime, in some time, your life must be your sadhana only. Whatever you do, you cannot avoid this misery and sadness in your life. The only way that you can remove it is through your sadhana. Dhyana! This dhyana will not come in the way of your regular work. Your life must be only dhyana each moment. You can do your works as usual; dhyana will continue within you. I will teach you how to achieve this state. I want only Mother; nothing else! "

" Ramakrishna Paramahamsa was ready to take his own life with a big sword. 'What is the use of this meaningless life when I am not able to reach my mother?' He decided it was better to die. You must reach that state for Mother. "

" The Vedas are great because they are not authored by any human being. Adharvana Vedas is the most significant among Vedas. When the Vedas accepted that Radhaji is the highest, there is no scope for arguments. Who is Radha? Do the Vedas mention about Radhaji? Let us know read some sentences from Adharvana Veda and Sri Radhikatapaneeyopanishad. "

" The great rishis discussed why only Sri Radhika worship is done by giving up all other worships. At that moment a dazzling light appeared before them. That is the Vedas. "

" The Brahmavetthas are the highest rishis. They all assembled at one place to discuss 'Why should we worship only Radha?' That is their only question. "

" The Vedas are not authored by man. Ramayana and Bhagawata have an author. I won't accept them. They may be important for you but not for me. Many Brindavan mahatmas do not accept Bhagawata because it was human. The Vedas, which are beyond human, are accepted by everybody. That dazzling light is Veda. No human being! There is no human element behind Vedas. That light is the group of Vedas. "

'The Vedas said-the divine power in all the Gods worshipped by you originated from Sri Radhika'

" The deity of worship is only Radha and Radha alone. No other Deva or Devatha is to be worshipped. "

'We fold our hands in respect before Sri Radha Devi, the Mother of all Gods.'

" The Vedas mention that they pay respects to Her. Why do they respect Her? She is only deity who deserves it. "

'By Her infinitesimal grace, the Gods rejoice and dance. They shiver when She frowns. We bow to Sri Radha who is the solution for all sins. Sri Krishna's dark complexion also became golden by Her glow.'

" The Vedas say ..This happened there. Krishna came into contact with Radha. Radhaji's golden colour touched him. Krishna lost his dark (shyam) colour. He became absolutely golden. Even today, Krishna's inner colour is golden. Mother's glow is spread all over the world. That is why, we respect Her. "

'We, the Vedas, Sankhyayoga and Upanishad cannot understand completely and puranas cannot describe - we respect such a Radha Devi'.

" We are the Vedas; we are unable to express about Her completely. The scriptures are not able to tell about Her. She is the personification of such sublime happiness. "

'Krishna is the ruler of the world, who make you love the world. She is the deity of Krishna's worship; She bestows Her blessings to those who surrender to Her. We worship Her.'

" Krishna may be great to the world; he may be the God of all the worlds but he is a devotee of Radha! He actually worships Radha regularly. That is why, She became Radha. Radha is not Her name; She is nameless. Then why is She known as Radha? Because She is worshipped by Krishna, by God himself. She is his deity of worship-aradhana. That is why, She got this title. Radha is not a name. "

'The dust at whose feet Krishna applies on his head during Rasa leela; in whose love he forgets his flute and other aspects; to whom he totally surrendered himself-we bow to such a Radha Devi'

" Krishna surrendered himself. He has no individuality. We know one aspect of Krishna here; Vedas tell us the other aspect. "

'By watching whose exquisite leelas, the Gods in Brindavan lose body consciousness; become immersed in sublime love and remain in a calm state of silence; we bow to that Radha Devi in whose thoughts, the Sacchidananda Sri Krishna forget his Goloka; (Goloka which Lakshmi, Parvathi and other Goddesses form a part of) .We bow to that Radha Devi, the ocean of power.'

" She is the anantha, akhanda sakthi sagar. Radhaji is the infinite ocean of power. There are many leelas to prove this. The feats made by Her cannot be done even by Krishna or any other divine incarnation. That is why; Vedas declare that Mother is an ocean of power. So we bow to Her "

'Mesmerised in the lanes of Brindavan, whose qualities are praised and sung by the sakhis. Captured by their love, Who creates dark night and grants them nectarine happiness of Rasa play - we bow to that Radha Devi.'

" Mother is beyond time. She can convert the limited time into eternity. She can convert a small area into a vast one and a vast land into a tiny one! This is a great leela. Brindavan spans 108 miles. Mother Yashoda will feed Krishna with cream in the morning. Within one hour, they would cross several miles and reach another village; the next hour they are in some other village! How is it possible? It is a miracle. Anyone in Brindavan will tell you that they did not have a human body; they possessed bhava deha. "

" Vivekananda wrote in his last letter that 'God lives in bhava loka. Whoever does not possess bhava cannot enter into that holy land. There is no sadhana for bhava.' He himself showers that holy bhava on you. There is no choice for human being. This is the secret of dhyana. "

" The Kathopanishad says 'Nayamathma pravachena labhyah na medhaya na bahunam sruthena' many people give discourses including Hare Rama Hare Krishna. With such discourses over several ages also, you cannot get God. You may be very intelligent; you can comment on the Vedas but you cannot get God. You may listen to the talks of parahamsas and mahatmas daily; yet you cannot get God. Then, how to attain God? 'Yame vaisha vrinathe thena labhyah' He must accept you, not you holding him. When he accepts you, he will be revealed. It is not your effort. Though Arjuna made efforts, he could not see Krishna in his real form. He cannot be seen! If it is so difficult to have a darshan of his true form; then how much more difficult to understand the infinite tattwa! That's what the Vedas says. "

'Sri Radha and Krishna are the ocean of Rasa. We bow to Radha Devi who is adorned with jasmines and other flowers by Nandanandana, Krishna'

" Krishna is enchanted by Her and puts garlands of flowers around Her neck. They both are one; that one became two. That is their play! "

Anadyoyam purusha eka evasthi

Tadekam roopam dwidha vidhaya

Sarvan rasan samaharathi

" Since eternity, paramapurusha, the highest was only one. He is called as Bhagwan. "

'Raso vai saha'

" That Taithireeyopanishad describes the highest form of God. That paramapurusha is rasa. He wished to manifest that rasa, make it objective and obtain happiness. There was no second entity to match him. How can there be a match for him who is spread in the vast, infinite universe! Then he himself became two. Radha attained Hladini sakthi while he didn't. Hladini power has absolutely wonderful qualities. So Radha is higher than Krishna because She possesses extraordinary hladini sakthi, the power of ecstasy. She is the manifestation of Maha bhava. She is the manifestation of hladini sakthi "

'These two forms exist like body and shadow. There is never any separation for them. The devotees who serve them will reach the highest dham.'

'Krishnena Aradhyatheti Radha; Krishnam Samaradhayathi Radhika'

" That is the origin; from the highest source. Many people worship Krishna and ignore Radha. The Vedas clearly say that Her hladini power is very significant. Sri Krishna himself worships Her. That is the highest and most powerful. Radha became two: She who is receiving worship from Krishna and She who came down as Radhika to teach us. Radha is worshipped by Krishna and Radhika is worshipper of Krishna. "

'The gopikas, Sri Krishna's wives and Goddess Lakshmi originated from Her divine form. Sri Radha is the Sovereign equal to Lord Krishna. She is the loving one of Krishna. The four Vedas praise Her in silent bhava. The intellectual rishis also praise Her.'

" The Vedas describe Her thus. All these points are not authored by human beings. I will print the original vedic quote, and the meaning. According to the Vedas, the highest Deity to be worshipped is Radha and only Radha. "

'Brahma cannot describe Her completely even he tries throughout his life span. Only they, on whom She showers Her grace can reach Her highest dham-Para. They who neglect Radha and worship Krishna alone are the highest fools.'

" They who keep Radha aside and give top priority to Krishna; they who worship only Krishna alone are fools. Never neglect Radha. This is what Vedas say. This is what I am telling you. Radha is simply doing wonders. "

" This sadhana was informed to the Brindavan mahatmas by Radhaji's sakhis. I want to compile the way of sadhana in 52 sentences and publish before the world. I am telling you about it in advance. Mother told us to worship God as nameless and formless. This is the first condition of sadhana. The second condition is that sadhana is your life. You have no life except sadhana. "

" Lord Brahma admits that his life span is not enough to describe Her glory. Such a Radhaji gave us this lesson. You are divine fundamentally and basically. So you must shed the belief that 'I am the body'. There is a power known as divine impulse. It is the power of a transcendental diving being. The giver of that powerful, great spiritual wave, I will make you worship and take up that sadhana for not less than 10 hours a day. Just follow that. "

What is our Nanna? If he is not the manifestation of Radha Herself, can he speak like this? He categorically stated with evidence from Vedas that Radhaji is the highest Deity due to the great Hladini power and Maha bhava, the two divine qualities possessed by Her. Brindavan dham is supposed to expand and compress according to the will and wish of Radha and Krishna. Nanna commented about this as 'It is a miracle' There are many instances to prove this. He declared that Mother, to whom Sacchidananda Krishna surrendered himself; who is the infinite ocean of power is only our Para deity of worship. Incessant Radha bhava dhyana is our dhyana. We pray to Her lotus feet to bless us such that we follow the footsteps of our Rasa guru who exemplified his life to teach us dhyana.
